Comment Policy

TrueBloodNet.com is set up to allow fans to converse together in a way that promotes respectful debate. Therefore, we ask that you follow our basic guidelines to keep TrueBloodNet.com free from any malicious behavior.

No flaming. If you’re going to respond to someone or even to a point made in an article, be respectful while you do so. There are many terms whose usage as an attack on someone is one warning away from banning. If you have questions, don’t use it.

Don’t stray far from the topic. Generally, we want you to feel free to chat with friends here and conversations do wander. It becomes a problem when a discussion thread gets heated and fans begin to argue about a topic. This happens most often on subjects not related to the article. If we warn that the discussion is too far off topic, take it seriously.

No spamming. You do not need to post the same comment on a million different pages. Once is enough.

No trolling. Trying to get goad other posters using irrelevant, inflammatory, and/or controversial points is inappropriate.

Back up your comments with evidence from True Blood the TV series on series threads, and from the book on book threads. We’re happy to allow people to debate respectfully, but you need evidence in a good debate.

Don’t use evidence from the Sookie Stackhouse books to argue that the HBO TV series,  True Blood, is wrong. This is a site for True Blood the TV series although we do allow discussions about the books in the appropriate articles.

Hypothesizing about the actors on True Blood in their everyday lives is unacceptable. We do not condone any paparazzi information or speculation about the actors on True Blood; they are as entitled to private lives just like the rest of us.

Do not use any “Team” lingo in comments on TrueBloodNet.com except for Team True Blood. Playing the “team” game creates tension and animosity between posters, and TrueBloodNet.com prefers to maintain an atmosphere where all fans feel welcomed.

TrueBloodNet.com was founded on the ideal that fans should be able to share their feelings about True Blood, HBO, characters, cast and crew in a respectful way without fear of personal attacks by other fans. TrueBloodNet.com will take whatever actions we deem necessary to create this safe and fun atmosphere including, but not limited to, editing, placing comments in moderation, and deletion of comments we find inappropriate and banning if the offense is found to be egregious. We hope you enjoy your time here at TrueBloodNet.com.
