SCOOP! Deborah Ann Woll to Appear on L&O:SVU!
July 23, 2009 by KS Rose
TrueBloodNet.com was contacted by Neal Baer, the executive producer of mega award winning Law and Order: SVU [Editor's Note: 73 nominations and 33 wins], to let us know that the actress that plays our favorite teen vampire, Jessica, Deborah Ann Woll will appear on the third episode of next season’s SVU. SVU is entering it’s 11th season and is shown on NBC. According to Neal, Deborah will play a “very different character on SVU in episode 3…[than she does in True Blood].” Bobby Campo will also join the cast as her boyfriend. Campo will be appearing in THE FINAL DESTINATION in 3D which will be released soon and is considered by industry insiders as an ‘up & comer’.
We hope to get some sneak preview pics in the near future!
This isn’t the first connection between SVU and True Blood. Ryan Kwanten, who plays Jason Stackhouse, appeared last year as Master Sgt. Dominic Pruitt in Episode 1 of season 10, “Trials”. And Adina Porter, who plays Tara‘s mother, Lettie May Thornton on True Blood, played Janelle Odami in episode 1 of season in 2007, “Fight”. Even Lois Smith, who played our beloved “Gran“, appeared on SVU playing Mrs. Varick in 2005’s episode, “Sport of Kings”.
Additionally Aisha Hinds, who played Miss Jeanette (rest her possum killing soul), played Jackie Blaine this year in Season 10 episode 14, “Transitions”. Her powerful performance as a transgendered school guidance counselor was transforming.
So when you ask yourself what you’re going to do once True Blood season 2 ends, don’t forget to catch Deborah on Law and Order: SVU in October!
