Video: True Scare from True Blood Star Stephen Moyer!

April 18, 2011

Stephen Moyer practicing for Toyota race.

During the recent celebrity car race Stephen Moyer, True Blood’s Vampire Bill Compton, flipped his car while going around a very tight curve. The good news: He’s fine. The better news: He withdrew from the race the next day. No matter how good the special effects are on True Blood they couldn’t have made up for any serious injuries but luckily, Stephen walked away after the shake up.  According to PR News Stephen said:

“While I’m disappointed I won’t be racing today, I know it’s in the best interest of my ‘True Blood’ family,” said Moyer. “I look forward to cheering on my fellow racers and following all the race-day action.”

Personally I’m very impressed with the lack of outburst within the car when he flipped. Take a deep breath before you watch this, it’s pretty .. you know, scary!

Walk-On Role on HBO’s Hit Series “True Blood” Benefits the Serenity Park Sanctuary

April 18, 2011

True Blood Poster HBO

Awesome few chances in a lifetime opportunity for a True Blood fan to buy a walk on role on HBO’s hit series True Blood. At the same time, you’ll be helping a good cause The Serenity Park Sanctuary. The Serenity Park Sanctuary is a parrot rescue organization. Many may not know it, but Alan Ball is a huge parrot fan! In fact, he owns several of the spirited birds — in Alan’s case, Macaws. He houses them in an outdoor enclosure. In sunny southern California the Macaws probably feel right at home. However, parrots are highly intelligent, long-lived birds and their owners often die before the bird does. (It’s all in the mitochondria if you wanted to know why these birds live so long).  The Serenity Park Sanctuary rescues and helps rehome these spectacular creatures. The auction is hosted by Charity Buzz.

Make a Bid to be on True Blood!

Includes: a non-speaking, featured “extra” walk-on role on HBO’s hit series, TRUE BLOOD. Valid for one person however, the winner may bring a guest on set.

Thanks to a Japanese scientist’s invention of synthetic blood, vampires have progressed from legendary monsters to fellow citizens overnight. And while humans have been safely removed from the menu, many remain apprehensive about these creatures “coming out of the coffin.” Religious leaders and government officials around the world have chosen their sides, but in the small Louisiana town of Bon Temps, the jury is still out.

Local waitress Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin), however, knows how it feels to be an outcast. “Cursed” with the ability to listen in on people’s thoughts, she’s also open-minded about the integration of vampires — particularly when it comes to Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer), a handsome 173-year-old living up the road. But at the service of Bill’s less virtuous vampire associates, Sookie is drawn into a series of catastrophes that will put their love to the test.

The latest hit series from ‘Six Feet Under’ creator Alan Ball, ‘True Blood’ delves into the meticulously-crafted world of novelist Charlaine Harris. Described by the Emmy®-winning Ball as “popcorn for smart people,” the first season of ‘True Blood’ caused an overnight sensation — and the new installments only build on his colorful cast of supernatural misfits.

Be a part of this amazing show and bid now on a featured walk-on role!

The proceeds for this item benefit Serenity Park Sanctuary

Sam Trammell Spills Gender of Twins

April 18, 2011

Who Will Be Outnumbered?

True Blood's Sam TrammellLooks like it’ll be three against one in the Trammell household, in favor of the guys.

True Blood‘s Sam Trammell revealed he and his longtime girlfriend Missy Yager are expecting twin boys.

Speaking to UsMagazine during Kiehl’s Earth Day Campaign in California last weekend, the couple spoke about the upcoming additions.

“It’s very nerve-wracking, but we’re excited… I’m most excited about just the lifestyle change, believe it or not, even though it’s going to take away all our freedom.”

These are the first children for the couple. The twins are expected to arrive later in the year. In the meantime, Sam’s got a busy schedule working on the fourth season of True Blood.

“We’re midway through the season, so it’s going to be good… They’re keeping our lips sealed, but it’s going to be an awesome year.”

Sounds like a good year all the way around for Mr. Trammell.

Video: Carrie Preston Talks About Working on True Blood

April 18, 2011

Carrie PrestonOur Fave Red-headed Waitress Talks

Carrie Preston, who plays waitress Arlene on HBO’s True Blood, recently spoke to TV Choice, and it seems that the True Blood is a job match made in heaven.

Because our cast is so big, none of us has to work every day. Even Anna Paquin doesn’t work every day, so we all have time to cultivate our lives outside of the show — unless they change the schedule!

This leaves the stars a chance to follow other paths, like movies. It also gives them plenty of time to spend with their families. Carrie even likened it to a vacation, after returning from directing That’s What She Said, in her own production company, Daisy 3 Pictures.

Now with Season 4 fast approaching, it will be interesting to see what eventuates for Carrie’s character and what is turning out to be a very ‘special’ pregnancy.

Nelsan Ellis on The Hunkies

April 18, 2011

Lala is Definitely a Looker:

Nelsan Ellis as Lafayette Fans of HBO‘s hit vampire series, True Blood, all know who Lala is — the fabulously flamboyant Lafayette Reynolds, Tara‘s cousin and cook at Merlotte’s bar.  Played by Nelsan Ellis, Lafayette is definitely a pillar of the show, and a gorgeous one, to boot.  No surprise, then, that he should appear on a website called The Hunkies!  Apparently, posters on the site get to nominate their favorite hunks — of which there is no shortage.

Head on over to The Hunkies to check out all the other nominees.

Cheers to Nelsan, keep up the good work on True Blood!  We love you!

Spoiler: True Blood’s Lindsay Pulsipher Dishes on Season 4

April 13, 2011

Crystal Norris to Reveal it All?

Lindsay Pulsipher as Crystal Norris in True BloodWe’re still weeks away from Season 4 of True Blood, but luckily there’s no shortage of spoilers for die hard fans! Recently, Eonline‘s Marc Malkin caught up with Lindsay Pulsipher at the Humane Society’s Genesis Awards in Los Angeles. And while she wouldn’t reveal much, when asked if we’d be seeing her “au natural” this season, and if so would it be a scene with Ryan Kwanten (Jason Stackhouse) Lindsay replied with a laugh:

“Let’s just say that is water under the bridge. That’s all that I could give you.”

Lindsay went on to talk about the two amazing panthers used on the show.

“They’re great, but you can’t really touch them. The trainers have really strict rules about what you can and can’t do. They’re just so majestic and so silently powerful.”

Eonline also caught up with True Blood’s Carrie Preston (Arlene Fowler) at the Awards. And much like Lindsay, she was tightlipped.

“I can’t say anything other than it’s bigger and crazier than ever. You know, we went pretty far even in the pilot, but somehow they go farther and farther and keep it going.”

Sounds like a crazy Season 4 is in store for fans and we cannot wait!

Denis O’Hare Predicts the Return of Russell Edgington

April 12, 2011

Is Our King Clairvoyant?

Denis O'Hare as Russell EdgingtonWhile he can’t say for certain, Denis O’Hare is sure we have not seen the end of the Vampire King of Mississippi, Russell Edgington.

In an interview with the Australian Associated Press, O’Hare gives his thoughts on the upcoming season of True Blood ahead of Supanova, a pop culture convention in Melbourne and Brisbane, Australia.

Last we saw, Eric sacrificed himself to bury the King in cement. But, as we saw, Eric survived. So will Russell?

“I think there’s a very good possibility that he’s going to get out. I just can’t tell you when… He may be enjoying himself down there, gathering his thoughts and making his plans. He will definitely bust out of there.”

As a self-claimed fan of True Blood before he landed the role of the Vampire King, O’Hare has great things to say about his fellow cast members, including their varying backgrounds and experiences.

O’Hare also discusses the skill of fang-speak.

“The fangs are a challenge. I was warned before I went on that I would have to master the fangs…”

He admits that sometimes actors must re-record their dialogue fangless to play over the fanged version for clarity.

Supanova is only the second fan convention O’Hare has attended, with San Diego Comic-Con being the first. And now with a whole season under his belt, Denis is interested in seeing how the fans will react to his appearance at the convention.

But we have not seen the end of Russell Edgington. Long live the King.
