As we now know, Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer were married on August 21, 2010. However, new details are coming out about the ceremony, Anna’s wedding jewels, and the wedding party.
Anna wore some beautiful jewelry to go along with her gorgeous wedding dress. She wore a Neil Lane necklace with 50 carats of round diamonds that were set in a darkened metal. The look was vintage-inspired and very dramatic with her halter-top wedding dress. Anna also wore Neil Lane diamond stud earrings. But she wasn’t the only one sporting jewelry. Anna and Stephen both got platinum wedding bands that were designed by Cathy Waterman, who also designed Anna’s engagement ring.
The wedding ceremony was just as unique as the jewelry was! Anna and Stephen’s wedding was officiated by a True Blood script supervisor who just so happens to be an ordained minister. The ceremony was non-denominational and included Apache and Buddhist elements. Other non-vampire-related elements were also included in the ceremony.
Many other elements were added to the wedding by Anna and Stephen’s True Blood coworkers. Todd Lowe and his band, the Pilbilly Knights, played at the reception while the True Blood music director lead a string quartet during the ceremony. Stephen himself was rather dramatic, walking down the aisle to the tune of Led Zeppelin’s “Kashmir.”
Lots of other members of the True Blood cast were also in attendance at the wedding, including Alan Ball, Rutina Wesley, Denis O’Hare, Sam Trammell, and Carrie Preston. Rutina spoke briefly to E!Online’s Christina Gibson about the wedding while at Audi’s pre-Emmy party. She said, “I am really happy for them; they really love each other” and also admitted to crying during the wedding. “Of course [I did],” Rutina said, “[Anna] is my girl!”
After the ceremony ended, Stephen and some of the other wedding guests changed into swimsuits and romped around in the ocean. It’s nice that Stephen was able to do that as he and Anna haven’t yet left for their honeymoon. First, they have to present with costar Alexander Skarsgard at the Emmys!

LOL I just loved it when I read that part about Stephen walking down the aisle to Led Zeppelin! 😀 I could just picture him strutting to the song! Wow what a great mental image! 😀 Yes it would be wonderful to see some professional photos from the special occasion but these mental images from the descriptions are great! 😀 Hope they have a wonderful time on their honeymoon and fantastic life together.
