TrueBloodNet.com reported back in May that Stephen Moyer is set to star in a new film titled “Tribes of October“. The $25 million-budgeted film was scheduled to begin filming in Grand Rapids, Michigan on August 10th, however, the date has now been moved up to late October. The computer generated imagery (CGI) film will be shot on a green screen stage at DeVos Place.
The setting of the film places us in a future, post-apocalyptic New York City that has become a desert due to a heat wave. Technology is now useless and nothing made after 1960 works, and the city is being ruled by a mysterious being that has no known identity. Stephen Moyer will be playing the role of a cynical and street-smart detective in this sci-fi thriller. The film is being directed by Philippe Martinez, who also directed “The Chaos Experiment” (formerly known as “The Steam Experiment”). “Tribes of October” also stars Ray Stevenson, Jaime King, Robert Duvall, and James Caan. Stevenson portrays a detective who is in pursuit of a Mafia don that is played by Caan. Duvall’s character leads what’s left of the NYPD, and King’s character is Stevenson’s love interest.
Stephen Moyer currently stars in HBO’s hit TV series, True Blood. Moyer portrays Bill Compton, a 173-year-old vampire who returns to his hometown of Bon Temps, Louisana, where he falls in love with a human.

I am looking forward to any movies that Stephen will be staring in. I have seen many of his previous works and he is so wonderfully talented and sexy. Can’t wait for more. I am so “chuffed” for him and his success. Mostly I am grateful for his portrayal of Bill Compton, and many many more seasons of True Blood.
