True Blood‘s Sam Trammell, Kristin Bauer van Straten, Nelsan Ellis and Michelle Forbes attended DragonCon 2010 this past Labor Day weekend in Atlanta, Georgia and delighted fans at the event. Several fans were able to record the panel events and we are very grateful to them. Many thanks to TwilightThursdays, TheatricallyTraci, and beege24 for sharing these videos with all the True Blood fans that could not attend DragonCon 2010. You will definitely enjoy these videos and be touched at some points as Kristin becomes emotional retelling some stories.

Kristin Bauer van Straten Supports Blood Drive at Dragon Con 2010
Where else would Pam be at Dragon Con? Of course, she is hanging out at blood donation rooms. Kristin Bauer van Straten stopped by on Friday for the Robert A. Heinlein “Pay it Forward” Blood drive. The goal for the organization this year is to draw over 3,000 units of blood. Kristin was able to tour the site and learn about the different types of donations, and the many ways that this blood can be used to save lives.
“It’s a natural thing that Pam would show up at the blood drive,” she said. “[Donating] is such a pure and selfless thing. I wanted to bring attention to it, and help break the record for this year.”
The details for the blood drive is at the Marriott Marquis on the Atrium Level in room A701-702 and A705-708. All donors are receiving a t-shirt and food goodies. Since this event is being done at Dragon Con, there could be other celebrities who could stop by and say hi!
Since we aren’t seeing Kristin as Pam tonight as least we know she is doing good things with her time. True Blood returns for the last time this year next Sunday for the Season Finale.

True Blood’s Panel at Dragon*Con
Though much smaller than Comic-Con, this year’s Dragon*Con featured a panel about True Blood that had Kristin Bauer van Straten, Nelsan Ellis, and Sam Trammell in attendance.
All three actors were in high spirits and joked about what we the fans will be seeing on September 12 during the Season 3 finale of True Blood, and we were told that “There’ll be blood.” Nelsan opened up to the fans, saying that he wasn’t the biggest fan of Lafayette having a love interest until he realized that it would allow him to show a more tender side to Lafayette.
Sam Trammell made a comment about “death” that he quickly retracted before talking about nudity on set. He said that he can’t remember whether or not Sam will be naked in the season finale. He also mentioned that his grandfather owned the land in a field he ran naked through in a previous episode of True Blood.
Kristin Bauer van Straten reminded fans that she can’t take credit for her awesome lines because she and the rest of the cast don’t have much creative input for True Blood. She also said,
“I’m not privy to what the writer and producers think, but apparently Pam in the books just gets… more important.”
The True Blood Season 3 finale is sounding like it’ll be quite a feast of story lines and action that will thrill fans and simultaneously make them go crazy while waiting for Season 4. It also sounds like there are a lot of stories left for our favorite True Blood actors to share as well. Maybe we’ll get lucky and hear them while they’re out promoting Season 4.

Nelsan Ellis Added To Dragon*Con 2010 Guest List
Nelsan Ellis from Alan Ball‘s hit HBO TV vampire series True Blood will also be attending Dragon*Con along with Sam Trammell this year in Atlanta, Georgia. Nelsan‘s portrayal as Lafayette Reynolds, Bon Temps, Louisiana’s flamboyant, sassy and sexy “entrepreneur”, has earned himself a large group of devoted fans (myself included). True Blood fans should take note that Dragon*Con, is one of, if not the largest convention for multi-media and pop culture that takes place during the Labor Day weekend in Atlanta, GA each year. The dates for Dragon*Con 2010 are September 3 through September 6.
At this point, we don’t know if Nelsan will be sporting Lafayette‘s short-order cook apron, his hard hat or his gold lame pants. He’ll probably just be himself to the delight of his fans. You can receive the latest information regarding the event by checking the Dragon*con website here.
Membership (tickets) to attend Dragon*Con are available for purchase from their online store. The cost covers:
“…all four days, all panels, events, demonstrations, concerts, performances, contests, snacks and munchies in our Consuite (as available) and a host of other activities.”
Children under age 7 can attend free. Pricing for tickets increase as the date draws nearer, so until 5/14/2010 the cost is $80. Thereafter, the cost will increase to $90 until 7/15/2010 and then up to $100.
By the way, when you’re at the convention and have the opportunity to say hello to Nelsan, don’t ask him about “V“. There might be a vampire close enough to hear you!

Sam Trammell To Appear At Dragon*Con 2010
According to Dragon*Con‘s list of guests, Sam Trammell will be thrilling True Blood fans at the 2010 pop culture convention in Atlanta, GA. The convention will run through the Labor Day weekend from September 3 through to September 6, 2010.
While we all love Sam‘s portrayal of shape-shifting, bar owner Sam Merlotte on HBO’s vampire series True Blood, some may not be familiar with Dragon*Con. Think science fiction, fantasy, comic books, anime/manga, art, music, film and games and you get what the Dragon*Con folks claim is the largest multi-media, pop culture convention in the United States. These conventions are no longer just for Star Trekkies fans anymore. Fans come dressed as their favorite characters from these genres, get autographs and attend forums on various topics conducted by famous authors, artists, film and TV personalities. So will Sam be participating in the Dark Fantasy track? Hmmm. Guess we’ll have to keep checking dragoncon.org to find out!
“Dragon*Con membership covers all four days, all panels, events, demonstrations, concerts, performances, contests, snacks and munchies in our Consuite (as available) and a host of other activities.”
