True Blood Season 2 Spoiler: A Teaser About Sookie

SPOILER ALERT! Ok everyone this is a BIG spoiler so if you DO NOT want to know do not read any further. Ok you have been warned. TVGuide.com answered one of their reader’s question regarding Alan Ball‘s hit TV series True Blood and the answer may have people extremely excited or disappointed. A reader by the name of Danny asked (see the after the break if you REALLY want to know):

Any scoop on True Blood? The season is dragging for me.
MICKEY: Well, would Sookie and Eric naked in bed together spice things up for you, Danny? You’ll see that, and the death — yes, death — of two prominent vampires, before the end of the season.

Now depending if you are Team Bill or Team Eric, the news may give you a heart attack or a heartbreak. To avoid a battle here in the comment section, please remember whichever character you are routing for that both characters, and the actors portraying them, are doing a fantastic job and are both worthy of admiration. Alan Ball has kept us wondering and guessing all season long and will continue in doing so. Whether you read the books or not, no one can predict what is going to happen and where the story line is going to go. One thing is for sure, it will be full of twist and turns that will leave True Blood fans craving for more. Here is the synopsis for the Sunday, Aug. 16 airing of Episode 9, “I Will Rise Up” on HBO.

A wounded Eric plays Sookie for a sucker, to Bill’s dismay, and ends up getting inside her head. Later, Sookie and Jason bond over their recent adventures. Blaming Eggs for Tara’s bruises and bizarre behavior, Lafayette and Lettie Mae try to figure out a way to pry their kin from Maryann’s clutches. Hoyt defends his relationship with Jessica to Maxine, to no avail. Jailed by Bud along with a group of Bon Temps revelers, Sam looks for a way to escape and avoid capture by an increasingly obsessed Maryann. In Dallas, Eric and the vampires defend their recent actions to Nan Flanagan and are shocked when Godric decides to take the fall for their PR disaster.

i have to say i am an eric fan but i love the cemitry with bill and if you have read the books then you now what he does and why he even came to bon temps but eric is hot as well there r some good casing in which sookie should be with i hope they stick to the books i want to see eric and sookie hook up finelly and the look on bills face knowing what she has doe because why would bill do that to sookie i thiught he loved her why did he just come because someone told him

Although Eric is HOT, Bill is HOT, sweet and loyal to the end to Sookie. It would be a heart break if they are not together. I know these vampires do not reproduce; but, come on, find a way for Bill to get her pregnant, make her and marry her before the series ends! This show is awesome!!!! My co-workers turned me on to this show and I am hooked. The show is like a very addictive drug. It’s all we discuss at work. Even our patients (med field involving lots of blood) know the characters. I even have 2 copies of season 1- lender copy and MY copy. Bill is definitely the BEST leading man. Each actor is wonderfully, talented. Lafayette and Tara could not be portrayed by any other actors. Nelsan and Rutina have nailed their roles! Too much True Blood is not enough.

I adore Bill, in the show. In the books, he’s kind of an s.o.b. Eric is fascinating in both. And, dream scene, or real life, let us please see Alex sans clothes ! And, as an extra added attraction, let Bill stroll in without ’em too ! That would be a perfect episode. Both Stephen, and Alex, are perfect for playing their characters. The show simply ROCKS !

I read the books after S1 and became an Eric fan. I couldnt help it, Alexander potrays Eric to perfection. Even if AB does the show different than the books, he does stay true to the fiber of the characters in the books. So, even if Eric/Sookie scene is a dream I’ll Take IT!! It’s a beginning. Also, cant wait to see naked Alex. It should be a treat!! Yayyy! Finally!!!!

Please endulge us for just a little while we enjoy our fantasy . All the spoilers are pointing to Eric and Sookie hooking up in some way, shape or form. Whether real or imaginary, it is going to happen on the show.

Personally, as I have already stated I believe it is a dream on Sookie’s part. IMO. We haven’t had a Sookie w*t dream in a while. Not since last season. As far as Sookie and Eric becoming a real couple, they are far from that moment. But doesn’t even the possibility let your mind go wild. Television shows are built on emotions and conflict. Well at least the good ones. Both the books and the show are built on these core principles.

So whether you are Team Bill or Team Eric or better yet, Team Beric, let us enjoy the moment even if it is a fantasy. None of these characters will leaving us anytime soon. They have all signed 7 year contracts pledging allegiance to the True Blood nation.
“Let the wild rumpus start” on Sunday night. We are all looking forward to our next “V” fix.

hey elizabeth. I can totally see where you are coming from..Sorry about us book readers/eric fans. I guess we have a biased view of the show and what we want to happen. Its just that we know eric is such a great character in the books thats all. Its hard to put the books in the back of your head. But If I try make an objective view about the whole love triangle.. I agree with you eric (true blood eric) is coniving and untrustworthy, I wouldnt want sookie to hook up with him or be in a relationship, as yet. Especially if he doesnt change.. Just to reassure you, because you seem like team bill. Eric would need to change dramatically for sookie to even consider a relationship with eric..I really do love bill and sookie. The only thing I like about true blood eric and sookie, is there funny, flirty, tension filled repartee. They are really funny to watch when they are pushing each others buttons.. Doesnt mean I would like to see them together, I just love their tense scenes thats all..
Godric dies, but I heard some people say the other vamp maybe jessica.. Or the other possibility is jessica will be pawned off to sophie ann to look after her next season? whats every1 else think?

I’m patiently waitin for the Eric/Sookie hook up and am not expecting it this season. So the fantasy theory sounds most realistic. As for 2 vampers dying… the most obvious would be Godric, afterall he wanted to die in the books. The second is hard to pin point. I’d hate to see jessica go, I mean last season I didn’t care much for her, i just thought she’d get in the way but now she’s grown on me. I like the match up with hoyt but now that seems it culd be heading to a negative route.

I have read the books and am a huge ERIC fan too. So I have the stick to the books some.
I know they are trying something different, and it working pretty well. Especially since they have Bill saving her instead of Eric example(Eric staked Long Shadow in the book).

This is Alan Ball’s creation and as Charlaine has stated herself, Alan doesn’t tell her how to write the books and she doesn’t tell him how the write the show. Also she has mentioned that she is enjoying the series very much as it is playing out.

There are people who never read the books and do not care to read them because they are enjoying the series for what it is. It is an adaptation and an adaptation will never be an exact reproduction of the original piece. Also there are others who have read the books (I chose to read all 9 after season 1 ended) and are not Eric fans, so one cannot make the assumption that after reading the books they will become Eric fans.

Let us enjoy the show and see what will happen and not assume what the storyline will be since the books and the show are two different mediums. As Alan Ball has stated he will stay true to the spirit of the books but, how he wishes to do so is his prerogative.

It may be the TV show, but, it IS based on and pretty much follows the books. So, to stay true to Charlain Harris and her fans, I think it would be disrespectful and certainly disappointing to her huge fanbase.

Also, if you bothered to read the books…Bill has a hidden agenda as to why he even met Sookie in the first place. And that is why Sookie ends up staying away from Bill.

Read the books, they are really great…you’ll be a huge Eric fan too.

Poor Bill. He tried so hard for Sookie and all you Eric people can think of is for Eric to snatch her from him. Why can’t Eric be a man and find him self a girl without pinching someone else’s girl – sneakily! Please don’t quote the books – this is True Blood the TV show and NOT the books.

I agree with you. I think Godric dies, not in the bomb though. I heard a spoiler about a scene being shot on top of a hotel building where a vampire is burning to death.. This maybe godric by the looks of it! SAADD I love Godric. I hope a little bit of him rubs off on eric.. The other vampire to die??? Hmmm not sure. I can only think Stan or Isabel. Interesting about chow too. That may happen!!
And godric passing away will be such an emotional scene for poor eric. Hope sookie is there to see him cry blood and comfort him!!! (wishful thinking, LOL!)
Eric and sookie. I agree its a fantasy, but maybe he senses her dreaming about him or something, and sneaks into bed with her while bills not there, like how he does soo many times in book 3. Bill finds out and they have a punch fest!!
Bill and sookie originally attracted me to the show also, but now unfortunately, I have grown bored of them. Its like they fell hard and fast for each other, and have fallen in love rather quick. (In hindsight,the series so far is about 2-4 weeks or more of what has happened in sookies life. That about right?) But now, I have quickly grown bored of it. I embrace the contrast of the sookie and erice relationship. Which is developing at a snales pace you could say. The funny, flirty, tension filled banter is great to watch. More of those scenes please!!! I could crack up at them getting under each others skins all day. I would be happy enough with more eric/sookie bantering scenes without bill in the picture. They dont have to necessarily get together. Not yet anyway! Thats just my opinon. Eric still seems untrustorthy to me!!

I agree… I’d love to see AB follow the book fundamentals. But in the first few books it’s Sookie and Bill, with Eric playing cat and mouse(so to speak) with Sookie. The relationship doesn’t come until the later books… when he is not himself, and she couldn’t help herself. If Sookie and Bill stay together as a couple, how will AB write in all of her other adventures that she goes on and still regain some integraty of the books.

As far as the bed scene, we know in the books Eric had made it a habit of sneaking in Sookies bed. I’m wondering if Sookie was knocked or passed out after the explosion and woke up with him in bed thinking it was Bill? I read in a sneak that Bill could not find them in the house after the explosion! Thankfully Sunday is only a few days away..omg.. the suspense is killing me!!!!

Everything in the spoiler video from Comic Con says dream sequence. Eric gets into Sookie’s head. This will be a very disturbing prospect for Sookie. I don’t think she will want to share this dream with Bill. Bill and Eric doing battle over the bullet incident. Can anyone say slap down? It appears Bill gets some good punches in. But remember Eric has just recovered from a silver bullet? Which we all knows, weakens vampires. Thank goodness for Bill. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have a chance against our viking god.

Two prominent vampires to die. Godric will be one of the vampires to meet the sun on top of a skyscraper in Dallas. Perhaps with Eric looking on. Which if Eric witnesses this, it will be heart wrenching for sure. What an emotional moment that will be. Everything he has said to Eric so far this season, confirms this in my mind. Remember Godric will take the fall for the PR disaster with the FOTS Church. I think Alan Ball will follow the plot line from the book with obvious key changes.

Vampire number two, I don’t think it will be Lorena. Spoiler video shows her sitting in a chair, darkly lit. But you will notice her signature necklace that Bill gave her. No entrance of Queen Sophie yet. Stan is possibility. In the video, it almost looks like his character. Upside down, darkly lit, wearing black. You can see Isabelle in the background and Godric would be behind her. At least I think so. Pam and Chow are not even in Dallas. Unless something happens in Shreveport. That’s why I’m going to guess Chow. Perhaps he tries to help with the Maryann situation and ends up dying. Which would leave an opening at the Shreveport bar again. Perhaps an opening for Lafayette to get into Eric’s good graces and be his bad ass. I know in the books, they are always looking for a new bartender/bad ass for Fangtasia. Obviously, we are in Alan Ball’s world but it would be a nice twist on the books. Setting up for the werewolves next season. Yes!

We will have to wait and see. I don’t think all of this could possibly happen on Sunday.

I am glad to see Alan Ball and company are willing to take some chances and proceed with a new story line with Sookie and Eric. Bill and Sookie is what originally attracted me to the series. But having said that, I will be on the edge of my couch on Sunday waiting for the Eric and Sookie scene. Let’s face it, I have been waiting all season for this moment. Please do not disappoint us Alan. All parties involved in the series are awesome actors. Keep our “V” addiction going. Full steam ahead.

Hey, if y’all remember, Stephen Moyer referred to Sookie and Bill can’t always be together or the show would be boring! Personally, I love the passion that those 2 have on the show… but Eric getting into Sookies head,hmmmm this could be a good twist to add to the show. Lorena isn’t dead, maybe this is how Lorena will get Bill??? and 2 important vampires–how about Pam and Chow–then that could leave Eric wide open (so to speak:-) for Sookie to kick it with Eric. and Bill will just have to deal with it! hmmmmmm

Also agree that the Eric/Sookie bed scene that is in the comicon preview is a dream/imagination sequence. After she takes some of Eric’s blood and he gets “into her head” in the next episode Miss Sookie would appear to be having some *ahem* raunchy thoughts. And any raunchy thoughts involving Askars are just fine with me.

I do think it’s too early plot wise for them to be in bed for real, it will happen but there must be groundwork laid first. Probably the rest of this season and next season. By the time it happens by god it will be worth it 😀

Sad as I am to say one of the vamps will be Godric, no question. Not sure about the other one. Possibly Lorena but I don’t think so. Keeping her is still useful to future plots. I’m thinking Jessica isn’t in for a happy ending.

I think that Eric/Sookie in bed will be Sookie’s dream. And it will be her first big “ut oh” moment about her feelings/draw for Eric.

I don’t think Godric will die because of the fact that he’s such a powerful vampire (the Sheriff), which means that the others(including his child Eric) are protective. But we never know. It’ll be interesting

I think it will be a dream sequence Eric/Sookie as a result of him ‘being in her head’ after taking his 1,000 yr + blood. As for the vamps that die.. I’m guessing Chow for sure & the other being Godric 🙁 I think Lorena will be ‘off someplace’ to return later for her dramatic final scene…

Izzy! I total agree with you! I think that the whole Eric/Sooks naked bed thing is a fantasy for her and if that’s the case, she’s probably going to wake up wondering why she was dreaming that. I can’t wait to see that part b/c the earth will be moving from all the ladies falling to the ground to see Alex Skarsgård naked!! woohoo!!! 😀

I also agree that I think on of the vamp deaths will be Godric which is so upsetting b/c I love the actor that plays him and he portrays Godric so WELL!!! I also think that the other vamp death could possibly be Lorena?? Just an idea…

The Sookie & Eric scene is most likely a dream/fantasy/vision. Even if TB is headed the way of Eric/Sookie, it is still way too early in the plot for that. So Bill fans shouldn’t get too uptight and Eric shouldn’t get too excited (altho the idea of seeing Alex Sakrsgard naked for any reason is a plus in my book.) 😛

And I fear that one of the deaths will be Godric. *sobs* Which is awful coz he is made of win and I love the actor who plays him. 🙁
