True Blood Season 3 Casting News: Meet Alcide’s Sister Janice Herveaux

New True Blood Season 3 casting news coming out today regarding Dawn Olivieri (Heroes) who has been cast in the role of Janice Herveaux, Alcide‘s sister.  We here at TrueBloodNet.com knew that she got the role which was leaked out early in the week on Twitter and Facebook but it was not officially confirmed until today.

According to casting calls Janice‘s character is described as a 32-yr-old fit, tough as nails woman in biker gear, into horoscopes and psychics who also happens to be Alcide’s protective older sister.

Congratulations to Dawn and we are all excited to see her in season 3!

in the book she was not a sister, she was a cousin, she was the daughter of Aunt Linda and yes, younger, what the series has done to the book SUCKS

In the book, she was younger. AB may be making her the older sister in the series. We don’t know yet.

I thought of Shannen Doughtery too but I think she’s too old to play the part, but someone like the characters she played would be perfect. Drea D’Matteo??? She’d have to lose the heavy accent and exchange it for a Southern one. I don’t know. I’m guessing by now they have someone in mind or have already cast someone, they’re just not telling us yet. Can’t wait.

Here is a thought: Drew Barrymore as DP?? maybe Shannen Doherty?? I think that Eliza Dushku would be incredible!!
Then again knowing HBO they may want to go with 1 of their own?
Maybe Jamie-Lynn Sigler of The Sopranos or perhaps Drea De Matteo who played Adriana?? Maybe Beyonce`?? Hey all You gals got all that hot male eye candy to feast on…How about bringing on some sexy gals for us guys?? LOL

Good news! Janice sounds like a fascinating and fun character and Ms. Olivieri looks like a perfect fit. Congrats to her, but is anyone else besides me simply dying to find out who will be cast as Debbie Pelt?
