Alexander Skarsgård talks about Season 4 of True BloodA new extended clip has been released by HBO in its ‘Waiting Sucks’ promo for Season 4 of True Blood.

This video shows interviews with the cast, including Anna Paquin (Sookie) and Alexander Skargård (Eric).  Alan Ball also has something to say about the direction in which he will be leading the show.

There are plenty of hints about the witches that are making an appearence this season, as well as a suggestion that Eric will lose his memory – something that will make followers of the Charlaine Harris books VERY happy.

It’s funny you should bring up those points because the Trubies and I at work were discussing them also this morning.

**SPOILERS**

I also had a suspicion that Claude/Dermot/Niall want to get Sookie pregnant b/c the fae women are less than the fae men. It has been mentioned over and over. BUT, being that Claude and Dermot are related to Sookie, I was hoping CH wouldn’t go there. Since Sam did warn Sookie that relatives don’t matter to the fae, I guess it could be a possibility that we could go there after all.

I’ve also wondered this too, since Jason and Dermot look so much alike, could it be possible that Dermot had an affair with Sookie’s mother? Maybe Sookie’s mother didn’t even realize what was going on, sort of like Adele and Fintan. Did Niall put a spell on Dermot b/c of this? Just throwing this out there. And, are Claude and Dermot living with Sookie to make her more fae at Niall’s request? I don’t think I like Niall much anymore either.

I wondered why Quinn is scheduled to make an appearance in the next book or 2. For the wedding I guess.

Eric is trying to get out of this situation. Sookie has the “cd” in her possession. You are right that it is used for love, but Sookie asked why Adele didn’t use it on Linda when she had cancer. Mr. C couldn’t tell her why so I guess it may be used on loved ones too. Don’t know, we’ll have to wait and see.

The next 2 books will be interesting for sure. There still are options to get out of this situation. I have this sinking feeling we are in for a Shakespearean type ending though.

I’ve just copied and pasted this from another entry on a similar topic. Still covers everything I wanted to say. Just taking the lazy way out. Is anyone else typing very slowly today on when adding comments????

    I am thinking that their might be some showdown between Eric and Niall or a war of some type. I think Sookie is going to remember being enchanted by Preston. When Eric finds out they are trying to knock her up look out. He will be out for blood. I agree I was I hope she wouldn’t go their but seems like she will. I don’t like Niall after the “Gift Wrapped” story I found it appauling. He probably was hoping Preston would do the job. Something is brooing with the fae.

    Also, Sookie mentioned that Claudine told her not to say “Thank You” to a fairt because you then are obligated to do something for a far. Sookie mentioned she was careful with Niall but Sookie said she said “Thank You” to Claude many times. Claude is up to no good.

    Quinn is supposed to be in the novella but I don’t like Quinn so I hope he doesn’t show up again. If he does it will probably screw Sookies life up somehow. Quinn has mentioned killing Eric before.

    I am concerend that the fae can impersonate people. These fae are becoming really scary and they enjoy deception. They are starting to make vamps look like a walk in the park. I wonder if they have been impersonating people around Sookie.
    We were talking about how we didn’t like Alcide in DITF. He was even worse in this one. The scene was funny but pathetic. He is headed down hill.

    I think that Claude and Dermot could definitely be living with Sookie on Nialls account. Sookie should have kicked Dermot out to. Sookie said she hoped she wouldn’t regret letting him stay. If they find out about the cluviel door that won’t be good.
    I never knew Amelia hated Eric so much their has to be something going on with her. All of the sudden Bob is back with her. He was pretty mad after the cat thing.

    The typing is slow on mine to must be something with the site today.

      *SPOILERS* Caitlin, I really didn’t like Niall pretty much from when I met him. He just seemed like a creepy great grandfather. I agree. Claude is up to something for sure and I think it has to do with Niall. Claude was able to get a letter from him. He must be receiving instructions from Niall I’m thinking.

      I have no respect for Alcide anymore. And Amelia is supposed to be her friend, unless she knows something or Octavia told her something she saw in the future.

      Don’t know where the next 2 books will go but it will be a wild ride.

        This book was a lot to digest. I will need to re-read it. There was so much going on. Yah I always kind of got a creepy vibe from Niall. I think he will make an appearance in the next book or the last one.

          Caitlin, I re-read Gift Wrapped. I see what you mean now. I had forgotten that Preston was impersonating a Were while he was really fae. That scares me now. If Preston and Fintan can impersonate/take over humans, you really don’t know if Sookie isn’t getting the wool pulled over her eyes by other fae. Who’s to say “Alcide” in her bed was really Alcide at all. Can they impersonate vamps? Sookie doesn’t even know any of this. I really don’t like or trust Niall at all anymore. I think the fae definitely have ulterior motives now.

          I don’t think they can impersonate vampires because if they could I think Niall would have had Preston impersonate Eric. In a way he kind of did because the situation seemed similar. Didn’t she wash his feet or something similar to Eric. That is probably why Niall used that scenrio. Notice that Sookie mentioned all her other suitors except Eric in that story. Under normal curcomstances, she would have thought about him. Niall bothers me too. I need to re-read Gift Wrapped, I don’t know what they have planned but it’s going to be crazy. What’s going on at Claudes club?

          Hi Caitlin. I don’t know what’s going on at Claude’s Club but we’ll find out in the next book. CH has to start wrapping things up with all the characters in this series. I am sure we will see Niall again but I think it will be in the last book and not until the very end. Should be good.

          44 more days until S4 of TB. YAY.

Loved the Invitation to the Set video. So much in that little “snippet” of True Blood Season Four. A mere 51 days until TB is back on our small screens again. BTW, if you have not checked out the new HBO Go Application, it is absolutely awesome. True Blood on your smartphone any time of day. Seasons One, Two and Three are all there. What’s not to love?

Thanks, for the Eric and Sookie love. Should be an exciting and wonderful season full of drama.

Stephen Moyer, the LEAD in the show, also gave an interview. You should have put his name in your article. I find it offensive that this is going to be perceived as the Eric and Sookie show. What happens to Eric after Book 4? You had better hope he is not going to be marginalised. I mean, Stephen is the male lead, the last time I looked Alex was somewhere in the credits. Give Stephen the respect he is due.

I think I will no longer subscribe to this newsletter. You give info way too late and then it is mostly Eric shit. So disappointed as this was my very True Blood site. Bye Bye.

    Since you ask what happens to Eric after book 4……….As of “DEAD IN THE FAMILY” Sookie and Eric are married. She never got back with Bill as a lover but is still friends with him. But much more happens in between now and when they “marry”, There are more loves for her yet.

      As of Dead Reckoning, Sookie and Eric are still very much a couple having “monkey sex” and working through their problems much like any other couple. Not all roses and hearts.

        Waving hi to pbt!! I still have hopes the situation will resolve, although CH has said she does not like happy endings, so I am going to hold my breath through the next 2 books. I believe they truly love each other sans the bond and they will figure out a way to overcome the vamp political issue and, there is the “cd” in play, although I have a feeling Sookie will use it to bail out someone else like Jason or Sam if needed.

          I read DR and am really worried about those darn fairies. I don’t trust them one bit. I think Niall wants to get Sookie pregnant via Claude because the female numbers are dwindling. Sam seemed concerned about Claude staying with Sookie. I think that short story “Gift Wrapped” will come into play in the future. Sookie said she is on the verge of remembering something that Niall did to her. She will be irate when she finds out. There have been 2 references to that story once in DITF and now in DR.

          I still have hope for Eric and Sookie. Their main problem is lack of communication. They both have insecurities within their relationship. They are both afraid that the other person will leave.

          I don’t know what in the world the cluviel dor will be used for. I am slightly worried about it because Sookie did get some warning from Mr. C. It is a romantic trinket so Sookie might have to use it on someone that she is in love with.

    What an ridicolous comment, you are probably one of those hardcore stephan moyer fans who spends the whole day on his fansite; and you should stop reading so many celebrity magazines, you should learn to separate fictional character from the real ones. And you definitely have never read the books because in them Sookie breaks up with Bill in book 3 and they are not together anymore, mostly she is with Eric and they even get married.

      Well little Miss Ridiculous!! I have read the books (yukk!!!!!!!) and I know that Eric tricked Sookie into marriage blah blah blah and no, I don’t hang out on SM fansites and did you read the latest book? Eric is going to get his commuppence for being the slime ball he is.

      Yes, AB is kind of following the books, but if he had any intention of having Eric and Sookie together and for Eric to be up in the lead, he would have had Anna and Alex do a screen test done together 4 years ago and have Eric’s name up behind Anna’s! Guess what! He isn’t! So whatever happens on TB, Eric is going to have his “close up” S4 and then bye bye!

      Get a life!
