Deborah Ann Woll’s New Role in Seven Days in Utopia

August 1, 2010 by

There’s a world beyond vampires as Deborah Ann Woll is experiencing. Deborah, who fans know as True Blood’s baby vamp Jessica Hamby, has a new acting project. The young actress known for her television role on the HBO hit is now expanding her repertoire as she joins the cast for the newest indie golf drama with Robert Duvall and Lucas Black.

Seven Days in Utopia follows a talented young golfer with a goal to make the pro tour. However, his first chance leads to disaster and the golfer played by Black soon finds himself in Utopia, Texas with an eccentric rancher played by Duvall. The meeting forces the golfer to question his past as well as his future plans.

Black and Duvall will not only work with the True Blood beauty but with Melissa Leo (Frozen River) and Brian Geraghty (The Hurt Locker). Matthew Dean Russell not only directs this movie, but also co wrote the screenplay along with Rob Levine and David L. Cook. Serving as the basis for the script is the book Golf’s Sacred Journey: Seven Days at the Links of Utopia. Production will start at the end of July in Texas.

It seems that Deborah is making a name for herself in Hollywood; now so many more people will get to fall in love with this redheaded talent.
