True Blood Season 7: We Say Goodbye to Another Favorite!

Episode 3 of True Blood Claims More Casualties:

Joe Manganiello stars as Alcide Herveaux in HBOs True Blood Season 7Last Sunday’s episode of HBO’s True Blood saw the demise of another favorite character: Alcide Herveaux. The actor who played the werewolf, Joe Manganiello, however, predicted his own departure earlier on:

When I read the script for the finale of last year, I called it. I put it down and I was like, “Oh, Alcide and Sookie (Anna Paquin) are together? They’re going to kill me.” Story-wise, you can’t have her break his heart because then the audience isn’t going to side with her. You have to get her to Bill (Stephen Moyer) and Eric (Alexander Skarsgard) because they have to tie up the A and B plot. If you’re looking at a show like this where they’re looking for characters to help the show be vital, meaning you can kill off main characters and all of a sudden anyone can be killed off at any time, there is no one else my character is connected to except for Sam (Sam Trammell). So by default, I did some quick math in my head and was like, “They’re going to kill me really quickly.”

While Joe may not have been a fan of how he died in the last moments of Episode 3 (entitled Fire in the Hole), he is at least thankful that his death was not the result of a vampire – a fate even worse than death as far as a werewolf is concerned! And he is even more thankful that his character was not turned after death, as suggested by Jessica Hamby (Deborah Ann Woll).

And as for whether he thought Alcide had seen his full potential in True Blood, the actor had the following to say to TVGuide:

I feel like there was so much left unexplored. You never really got into Robert Patrick’s character, you never found out where his mom went and why [he and his father] didn’t get along. He had a love interest that really didn’t go anywhere. There was this little girl, Emma, that he orphaned by murdering her father — rightfully so, but still. He didn’t want to have kids because he didn’t want to pass his genes on. He is then given custody of this little girl who is a werewolf and there was no real resolution to that or exploration of him, out of guilt, helping to raise this little girl in the pack. You never really explored the guy. I would play him again in a movie if the rights became available. I would do a spin-off. I actually started writing a story line for that guy intended to be for the comic books, but then they got canceled, I guess.

As for leaving the show in it’s very last season, when asked if he took anything with him as a memento, he shared the following with People magazine:

When I got up off of that ground in 30 degrees after playing the death scene, I brought the sock home with me. I’m gonna frame it up and put it in my guest bathroom… I had to lay on the ground for hours, naked except for my [strategically placed] sock. It was freezing cold. The director’s like, ‘Stop rattling!’ And I’m like, ‘I’m trying!’

After filming a scene like that, I don’t blame him!

True Blood Quickie: True Blood Season 7 Episode 3 “Fire in the Hole” Recap

Anna Paquin stars as Sookie Stackhouse in HBOs True Blood Season 7 Episode 3 entitled Fire in the HoleSo what went down in Episode 3 (entitled Fire in the Hole) of HBO’s True Blood Season 7? Let us break it down for you:

  • What are we doing in a yoga retreat? Are we even watching True Blood? *checks remote* Oh, lookie, it’s Sarah Newlin (Anna Camp)!
  • Pam (Kristin Bauer van Straten) and Eric Northman (Alexander Skarsgard) have a chat which results in Pam admitting she felt Tara Thornton’s (Rutina Wesley) true death and a flashback to 1986 about the birth of Tru Blood.
  • Alcide (Joe Manganiello) works out Sookie (Anna Paquin) is missing and tracks her to Bill’s (Stephen Moyer) house. But they aren’t there because they are driving to wherever it is Sookie needs to be in order for her plan to work.
  • Adilyn (Bailey Noble) and Holly’s son are sitting in jail – flirting and kissing until Jessica (Deborah Ann Woll) and Andy Bellefleur (Chris Bauer) arrive and rescue them.
  • Sam (Sam Trammell) has a heart to heart with the reverend before heading off with his vampire bodyguard. They bump into the riled up towns folk and it all goes pear shaped from there. Sam loses his vampire to a bullet and his clothes thanks to the fact he has to turn into an owl and escape in a hurry.
  • Willa (Amelia Rose Blaire) gets her invitation rescinded thanks to bringing home a V affected Lettie Mae (Adina Porter).
  • Lafayette Reynolds (Nelsan Ellis) and James (Nathan Parsons) gets wasted and the tentative beginnings of an attraction are formed – even if James does insist him and Jessica are together (even if they aren’t particularly ‘together’).
  • Jason Stackhouse (Ryan Kwanten) wants a family with Violet (Karolina Wydra) – even if they have to adopt. Needless to say, Violet is not impressed with this idea. Luckily Andy and Jessica arrive during this awkward moment and they are on a mission to save Sookie from the crazy towns folk.
  • Back at Fangtasia it seems the Hep-V infected vampires need another feed and take Holly (Lauren Bowles) along with them.
  • Sookie and Bill are sitting in a clearing waiting. It seems Sookie has placed herself as bait. While they wait they chat. Sookie fesses up to the fact that Alcide loves her more than she loves him.
  • Jason’s group are on the hunt for Sookie. Instead they find Sam’s abandoned car. Before they can worry Sam has been killed, the towns folk descend on them. It gets heated. As a result it’s R.I.P. Mrs. Fortenberry (Dale Raoul). Jessica gets hit with a bullet but it hurts, not kills her.
  • We get a Bill flashback which doesn’t really advance the story line any but it’s nice to see Bill as a human I guess.
  • We also get another Eric and Pam 1986 flashback. It seems Eric once had to make a choice between his human love (Sylvie) and his progeny (Pam). Not sure what any of this has to do with Season 7, but, once more, it’s nice to see backstory on some of our favorite vamps.
  • Back to 2014 and Eric is trying to convince Pam to leave and let him die. Pam is smarter than that and lets slip that Jason let Sarah Newlin live. Oh look Eric now has a mission – it’s a road trip!
  • Speaking of Sarah. It seems she still has a taste for men in power and is currently in bed with her yoga guru. Fortune shines on her when she leaves the room to fetch a bottle of wine. It seems the company that makes Tru Blood is also on the hunt for Sarah. While her guru lover admits he knows her, he doesn’t let slip that she is merely a room away. He loses his head as a result.
  • We finish this episode with Sookie finally attracting the Hep V vamps – along with a dazed Holly. A bloodbath ensures with Sam, Alcide, Jason, Andy, Jessica and Violet arriving all at once and attacking the Hep-V vampires. Some of the townsfolk also show up. As a result, Alcide is shot. And killed. Seriously a horrible moment. Sookie is devastated.

True Blood Season 7: Sarah Newlin to Return in Episode 3

Sarah Newlin Will Also Bring Her Family Along!

Anna Camp stars as vicious Sarah Newlin in HBO's True Blood Season 6In HBO’s True Blood Season 6, it seems that the person everyone loved to hate the most was Steve Newlin’s (Michael McMillian) crazy ex-wife, Sarah Newlin (Anna Camp). We saw her nearly lose her life at the hand of her ex-lover, Jason Stackhouse (Ryan Kwanten), but, after showing her some remorse, she lived to fight another battle. And it appears this battle will commence in Episode 3 (entitled Fire in the Hole) of True Blood Season 7.

TVLine spilled the beans earlier this week with the following information:

My favorite vampire exterminator is back in this week’s episode. And as we told you back in February, the show will be introducing us to Sarah’s Texas socialite parents and angry, bitter, gothed-out sister at some point this season (perhaps as early as Sunday).

So we get a two for the price of one deal it seems, with Sarah and her sister making appearances in this, the final season of True Blood.

True Blood Season 7: More Synopses Revealed!

True Blood’s Episodes 3- 6:

Anna Paquin stars as Sookie Stackhouse in HBO's True Blood Season 7With less than two weeks until the premiere of HBO’s True Blood Season 7, fans are scrambling for any information possible on how this, the final season, will pan out. SpoilerTV is, as always, ever so helpful in this department and have released the following details about the synopses for Episodes 3 through to 6:

Episode 7.03 – Fire in the Hole

Sookie hatches a dangerous plan; Pam looks to motivate Eric.

Episode 7.04 – Sick of Goodbyes

Sookie enlists a band of vampires and humans to track down the H-Vamps.

Episode 7.05 – Return to Oz

Sookie hosts a mainstreaming party; Eric and Pam head to Dallas for a fundraiser.

Episode 7.06 – Karma

Sookie makes a shocking discovery; Eric and Pam forge an unlikely alliance.

So it looks like fans will get to find out how Eric Northman (Alexander Skarsgard) escapes his extreme suntanning experiment from as early as Episode 2 since it seems Eric and Pam (Kristin Bauer van Straten) are certainly reunited by Episode 3.

What is even more intriguing though is why are they heading to Dallas? And who would they possibly be joining up with that would be considered an ‘unlikely alliance‘?

Meanwhile, it seems Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin) is as busy as usual this season; what with mainstreaming parties, vamps to track down and shocking discoveries to be made.

So, what are your thoughts on True Blood Season 7? Have these synopses changed your perception on how Season 7 will unfold? Let us know in the comments below!

True Blood Season 7 Episode 3 Title Name Released!

HBO Gives Us the Heads Up on What’s in Store for True Blood:

HBO True Blood Promo PosterFans of HBO’s True Blood are eagerly scrambling for whatever information they can find out about Season 7 – the very last season in the series ever. So when HBO releases the title name for Episode 3 of Season 7, then we just had to jump on it! It’s not much, but it is certainly something to mull over until June 22nd 2014 when True Blood premieres!

True Blood Season 7 Episode 3 Details

Fire in the Hole – what an interesting title name that is. Considering Pam (Kristin Bauer van Straten) is still searching for Eric Northman (Alexander Skarsgard) in Episode 2, could she actually find him? Or is this a reference to the Hep V infected vampires that were encroaching on Bellefleurs (formerly Merlotte’s) at the very end of True Blood Season 6? Considering the fact that the teaser videos for Season 7 of True Blood have a distinct battlezone feel to it, could this imply that ‘they'(whomever ‘they‘ may be) are planning to bomb the crap out of those infected vamps in this episode?

True Blood Quickie: True Blood Season 6 Episode 3 “You’re No Good” Recap

The One Where Ginger the Screamer Returns and Eric Northman gets a New Human:

Sarah Newlin (Anna Camp) returns in HBO's True Blood Season 6, Episode 3, entitled 'You're No Good'What did you think of HBO’s True Blood Season 6, Episode 3, entitled You’re No Good? Didn’t get a chance to see it? Let me catch you up to speed on it then:

What went down:

  • Eric (Alexander Skarsgard) does bad things to Willa (Amelia Rose Blaire). Well, he would, if security weren’t onto them. So he kidnaps her instead!
  • Jason (Ryan Kwanten) is suddenly getting headaches – is it Warlow causing these?
  • Sookie (Anna Paquin) gets cranky with Niall (Rutger Hauer) because he thinks she isn’t scared of Warlow
  • Willa is either gathering info for her father, or a VERY good liar. It seems she’s Team Vampire – and more so, Team Eric’s Blood when she owns up to the fact her mother kissed a vampire and liked it. She then tries to seduce him in his coffin. Either way, she will make an excellent hostage negotiating tool between Eric and Willa’s dad, Governor Burrell (Arliss Howard)
  • Pam (Kristin Bauer van Straten) and Tara (Rutina Wesley) are annoyed at Eric for taking Willa hostage. Eric spends a great deal of time in this episode yelling at them – am I the only one loving this dynamic?
  • Crap – it’s Steve Newlin (Michael McMillian)! He’s been taken to the mysterious ‘camp’ – which turns out to be some sort of concentration camp laboratory for learning more about vampires
  • Oh, and double crap – it’s Steve’s wife, Sarah (Anna Camp). Boy does she have some unresolved break up issues to sort out with Steve! Best scene of the night though.
  • Sam (Sam Trammell) gets help from Nicole (Jurnee Smollett-Bell). Which turns out to be a bit of a double-edged sword later on in the episode…
  • Ginger the screamer (Tara Buck) returns in HBO's Season 6, Episode 3, entitled 'You're No Good'*SCREAMS* It’s Ginger (Tara Buck)! Who’s glad this ditzy blonde is back? And she’s just as confused as ever. After being coerced into letting Eric, Willa, Pam and Tara into her house, she then proceeds to give them all a place to stay, answers Eric’s phone when she shouldn’t have and then has to side-track the Gov. when Eric’s untraceable phone is miraculously traced. Shit, hope Ginger isn’t the one Brian Buckner was talking about!
  • Billith (Stephen Moyer) can walk in the sun – oh look, no he can’t! Was is just me, or was this the funniest scene of the night? Delusional much, Bill?
  • Niall pays  a visit to Club Fairy – it’s been attacked! Is Ben (Robert Kazinsky) okay? Or am I not the only one who is starting to think that maybe Ben is Warlow? Or at least being glamoured by Warlow? Niall is tasked with sending the only remaining living family back home. Oh, and why is that blood glowing like that? He takes some home to show Sookie and Jason
  • Speaking of; Sookie and Jason are having a heart to heart about Jason’s racist ways
  • Holly (Lauren Bowles) and Andy Bellefleur (Chris Bauer) in HBO's True Blood Season 6, Episode 3, entitled 'You're No Good'Andy (Chris Bauer) and Holly (Lauren Bowles) get a bit of a look in this week. Oh, and Andy’s fairy kids are now pre-teen – and Billith finds out about them.
  • Alcide (Joe Manganiello) lies to the cops about having Emma (Chloe Noelle). So does Rikki (Kelly Overton) and Martha (Dale Dickey). Then Rikki becomes even more unlikeable when she forces Emma to shift into a puppy so the police don’t find her
  • Oh look, Sam’s an owl!
  • Ben and Niall meet. There’s some wicked talking between the lines going on in that conversation and then Ben pledges his alliance to Team Sookie. So Ben is good? Or is Niall an adherent to the adage ‘keep your friends close, but your enemies closer‘?
  • Jessica (Deborah Ann Woll) dons a naughty schoolgirl costume and attends the lecture of Hido Takahashi (Keone Young). It seems he can synthesize human blood
  • Speaking of blood – Billith wants Sookie’s hybrid human-fairy blood. He thinks it will save the vampires from the sun-meeting vision he had in Episode 2. I guess Andy’s kids are the back-up plan…
  • Nicole tries to get the werewolves on her side – it’s no surprise it ends badly. At least it gives Sam a chance to rescue Emma. And remember what I said about the double-edged sword? That comes into play here…
  • Tara steals Willa
  • Warlow makes an appearance. Oh wait, no, that’s just Nora (Lucy Griffiths)!
  • But is Jason dead???????

Is Jason Stackhouse (Ryan Kwanten) dead? HBO's True Blood Season 6, Episode 3, entitled 'You're No Good'

Did anyone else think Episode 3, You’re No Good, fly by waaaaaaay too quickly? Yeah, me too – can’t WAIT for HBO’s True Blood Episode 4, entitled At Last!

HBO’s True Blood Season 6 Casting News:

Episode 3, Abducted, Features a New Doctor

John_Fleck_IMDBOn February 8th, 2013, Truebloodnet.com reported that Episode 3, Season 6 of HBO’s series True Blood had been re-titled. ‘Rock Hard Times’ was renamed ‘Abducted’, and would introduce the character of Dr. Overlark. It has been announced that veteran character actor, John Fleck (Weeds, Bones) has been cast in this role.

The recurring guest role of Dr. Overlark has been described as 50 years old, and a ruthless advisor to Arliss Howard’s Governor Creighton Burrell. Cast as Dr. Overlark, John Fleck is a long-time character actor who has appeared in a wide array of television guest roles. Mr. Fleck is one of only three actors to have appeared in every installment of the Star Trek television franchise (albeit as a different character in each).

We have one more character in place, but still no starting date for Season 6 to air. We’re left to speculate and anticipate, leaving us sure of only one thing: waiting sucks.

UPDATE: Title Change for Episode 3 (Season 6) of HBO’s True Blood

‘Rock Hard Times’ Gets a New Name:

HBO's True Blood Black Promo PosterRecently, True Blood Net reported that Episode 3, Season 6 of HBO’s True Blood would be titled ‘Rock Hard Times’. As is the case with television shows that are evolving as they are written and filmed, SpoilerTV has reported a name change. Episode 3 will no longer be known as ‘Rock Hard Times’, but has been retitled as ‘Abducted’.

Along with this name change, there is another casting call. HBO are on the look out for someone to play the recurring guest role of Dr. Overlark. This character is 50-years-old and a ruthless advisor to the Governor, Creighton Burrell (played by Arliss Howard). Along side this role, they are also keen to find someone to fill the role of Hido Takahashi. Hido is another a 50-year-old, but one who likes to talk about himself!

Besides these recurring roles, HBO are also looking for a guest role. Maggie is a 35-year-old woman who is pregnant and thinks her husband has run off with another woman. And, finally, they are looking for co-star roles in the form of two police deputies who have to search a cabin.

So many tasty morsels here. Why was Episode 3’s name changed? And who are all these interesting new characters? At least it will give us something to think about until HBO announces the start date for True Blood.

True Blood Season 5 Ep. 3 “Whatever I Am, You Made Me” Recap

The Makings of a Great Episode of True Blood!

Pam and Eric flashback in HBO's True BloodHave you always wondered at what the world looks like through the eyes of a vampire? Well the opening scene of Episode 3, “Whatever I am, You Made Me,” answers all your questions. We thought watching Jessica getting changed was fun, well with Tara, it is an absolute delight — but not so much for anyone changing a tire on a deserted road!

Thankfully Tara has a change of heart after the opening credits and leaves the poor motorist alone. We then get to witness the Vampire Authority arguing over what to do with Bill and Eric, especially after revealing Russell Edgington is still alive. Bill, in an attempt to save their lives, agrees to bring in Edgington — or die trying. This results in them being kitted up in a deadly harness. There will be no trickery for these two from now on. One click of an app and a wooden bullet is fired straight through their heart. How on Earth will they get out of this sticky situation?

In Fangtasia Sookie is desperately trying to convince Pam to summon Tara. In the process, Sookie learns of Eric’s disappearance, gets threatened by Pam and throws a ball of light to return the favor. But have no fear, even if Pam won’t help her new progeny, it looks like Sam certainly will!

Steve Newlin is officially the new face of vampires — the new Nan Flanagan, if you like. There appear to be some teething problems though between Newlin’s attitude to humans and Roman’s opinion of the race. Salome is, luckily, able to smooth the waters.

Speaking of situations, we find Sookie and Lafayette still frantically trying to get their story straight while wondering where the heck Tara is. They need not worry, Sam is uncapping Tru Blood at a rapid rate for her — right up until she faints. Say what?

Andy discovers his butt is now on Facebook and then the Pelts arrive, looking for their daughter, Debbie. A long line of people are questioned about Debbie in this episode. Speaking of bad days, check these out: Jason Stackhouse bumps into an old school teacher. It sure looks like there is an undercurrent of something untoward in their conversation. Another notch in the belt perhaps? Yep, it sure is, we find out later on down the road. Jason’s resulting guilt is expected. Then Terry and Arlene have a fight, Sam puts on his lying face — which is no good when the waitress you’re talking to can read your mind. At least Sookie knows Tara is safe. Even if she is being stored in the deep freeze! Wonder if anyone will find her?

We then get the treat of another Pam flashback. And what a surprise we find there! Not only are we introduced to the early relationship between Pam and Eric, but Eric and Bill and his maker, Lorena. Even back then, when Pam was human, she was still able to drive a hard bargain — we can see why Northman turned her.

After Bill conveniently discovers the back story of Salome for us, we also discover that she has the hots for Bill. This is feeling a little traitor-testing to me, but they proceed with consummation anyway.

Speaking of vampires, we find Jessica buying more clothes than she needs while her maker is away. The line of the episode occurs here when the shop owner announces that “God gave that boy [Jason Stackhouse] a penis and a brain and only enough blood to run one at a time.” Needless to say, Jessica is not impressed with this, but is distracted by the introduction of Claude, the fairy. MMmmm… fairy blood! Jess follows him but he eludes capture. This makes her think of Jason and she winds up at his place. Poor Jess, turns out Jason has had an epiphany about his teacher and what she did to him all those years ago. It is certainly turning into the season where Jason gets a heart rather than a hard on. Wonder if it’s a long term thing?

Oh no — is that Hoyt? In a black mesh t-shirt and black eyeliner? I think so, but quick as a whip we’re taken back to Pam’s human life. This time she is in bed with Eric! And she is begging for him… to make her a vampire. Northman talks of maker responsibilities but Pam rushes his hand by slitting her wrists. She should remember his words on being a maker and apply them to her role in Tara’s life now.

We switch to Eric thanking Salome. Is he going to try to seduce her? Not when she drops the bombshell that she knows Nora is his sister. It gets a bit snarky between the two of them then, until Salome decides to seduce Eric. Ah, the plot thickens. Especially when we shift to the image of Nora being tortured.

Now, getting back to bad days in Bon Temps, Tara is awake and daydreaming of drinking Arlene — lucky Lafayette is ready with a bottle of Tru Blood. Shame she isn’t very appreciative of it. But it’s a great way to get from vampires, to Merlotte’s, to Sookie and Alcide talking about Debbie Pelt. And it seems he smells a rat. Unfortunately we are interrupted from that thought by Lafayette crying out at Tara squeezing him too hard. As a result Tara nearly spills the beans about what Sookie did to Debbie. I don’t think anyone will remember what she said though, since the very next thing she does is pop her fangs and leave the premises!

Next, Salome is all sated and talking to Roman about the fact that she thinks Bill and Eric can be trusted. Roman drops the clanger that maybe no one can be trusted since Nora has confessed to batting for the other team (ie. not the Vampire Authority). After much heated debate, Salome gets lucky for the third time this episode. This girl is insatiable!

We finish up with some random snippets of story line: Lafayette flipping out and pouring bleach in the gumbo after cruel comments are made by Arlene. He also sees the voodoo monster image of himself in the mirror. Oh, the Jesus story line is so not over yet! And whoopsie, was that just Sookie telling Alcide what she did to Debbie? It sure is and boy is he pissed. What the? Tara tries to kill herself by UV rays? Death by tanning bed — that’s mad! We finish up with Pam crunching numbers at Fangtasia. Something distracts her. Has she discovered something? Or is she feeling her progeny’s pain? We’ll have to wait until next week to find out!

True Blood Season 4, Episode 3 “If You Love Me, Why Am I Dyin’?” – Review

Alcide is Back and Eric is “Gone”:

Skarsgård as Eric Northman (ep. 39)“I know what I am, Snooki.”

Whew. After his initial monologuing, Amnesia Eric was a delightful surprise. Finding Debbie in Alcide‘s pretty new house? Horrible surprise. But more on that later…

I’ve seen/heard a few complaints that this season “isn’t as good” or “it’s gotten weird.” Let me just say – #1, We’re 3 episodes in, haters! Don’t judge a season so quickly. And #2, I just have to plain disagree. Season 4, so far, has been at least on par with previous seasons. And I’ll tell you why.

True Blood has been loved from the very beginning for its soapy-meets-campy tone. Fluffy meta moments lighten up the drippy drama of a faerie living in a vampire hierarchy. Hence, Sookie reading a Charlaine Harris novel. Look, whenever a series throws in new characters, or changes characters drastically – either temporarily or permanently – fans are always quick to turn on their favorite show. All I’m saying is give it time before you start trolling comment threads. You can’t judge a whole season until it’s over. And I don’t know about you, but I’m in no rush.

Rant over. On to the good stuff —

Eric’s newly innocent state has proven to be the most adorable thing ever. I know I said that last time about his wooing Sookie with appliances, but I mean it even more this week. Between his apologies (“sorry”) and the ever-so-sincere tone when he asked Sookie “Would you like to be mine?”- sigh. Alexander Skarsgård did an outstanding job making Eric vulnerable without being too ridiculous.

Pam was quick to panic when she learned the news, and now she’s all uber-suspicious of Bill. Is it really possible that Bill would set up Eric like that? True, he already tried once. And yes, Sookie did ask Bill for help with Eric’s home-owning situation. But Bill’s angry voicemail makes me think otherwise.

Jessica and Hoyt are having relationship issues, yes. And while it was nice to see Jess reunite with her maker, the scene felt a little awkward. Seeking relationship advice, Bill and Jessica’s talk didn’t feel “father-daughter” “brother-sister” or “best friends.” It just felt weird. Although it did garner one of my favorite quotes from the episode: “Vamp up.”

What about that doll? It freaked me out the first time we saw it on the floor of Jess & Hoyt’s new place, then seeing Hoyt holding it was a whole other level of creepy. At least Baby Mikey seems to be enjoying it.

So Tommy wants to steal from the woman who has taken him in. Charming. I liked Tommy best when he worked at Merlotte’s – he had great chemistry with Jessica and he could be involved without some contrived storyline. Now, Tommy’s character just seems lost.

Bill and Portia, huh? Like her or not, you got to respect Portia’s bluntness. Girl knows how to get to the point.

I’m not sure why, but I just can’t get into Lafayette and Jesus. I’m bored when their wiccan ways are discussed. Sure, Marnie is fascinating and I’m curious to see if the spirit will accept her sacrifice. But otherwise, eh.

Poor Jason! For real, that boy just can’t win. His entire storyline was disturbing this week. That scene with all the girls watching? Yikes. I hope Jason gets to spend an episode not tied to a bed soon.

Finally, Alcide. I was so happy to see him. He and Sookie are all cute and then who walks in, but former V-addict/Russell Edgington dog Debbie. Blindsided by that one. Clearly, Sookie wasn’t thrilled, either. Totally ruined her plans. Where will that relationship go?

Sam and Tara had a cute moment. It’s nice that they’re still friends. That’s really all I have to say on the matter.

So Eric drained Claudine, huh? I was a little confused – did Eric appear because he heard Sookie yell at Claudine or just because he smelled her or something?

This was a good episode for certain characters while others stalled out in the background. But with only 55 minutes or so, we can’t always see everybody.

What’d you all think?
