True Blood Season 4 is Coming this Summer

True Blood Season Three PosterPremiere Date Not Set

The anticipation for True Blood season 4 is palpable among fans especially now that creator Alan Ball and the cast have appeared at this year’s PaleyFest. In light of this appearance, @TrueBloodHBO the official True Blood twitter account took to the social networking site to clear up a very important issue, namely the date of the season 4 premiere.

View the first official True Blood Season 4 Teaser

Our readers may recall that in the course of many articles we have written that June 14, 2011 was going to be the day that we have all been waiting very anxiously for. However, according to HBO that is simply not the case. The show’s twitter account stated:

Let’s clear up any confusion. The Season 4 premiere date of #TrueBlood on @HBO has not yet been announced. Summer 2011 is all we know. Xo

So Truebies it looks like we’re going to have to add waiting for an official start date to the list of True Blood things we can’t wait for. But rest assured that when that information is released, TrueBloodNet will let you know as soon as we do!  But in the meantime, what can you do to make the wait just a little more bearable?

You can find the recently released True Blood Season 4 spoiler videos here and here for your viewing pleasure.

HBO Teases a True Blood Surprise This Sunday via Twitter

A Fang Friday Surprise

HBO LogoHBO’s official True Blood Twitter account @TrueBloodHBO raised a few eyebrows yesterday. Fridays on the social networking tool are usually designated as Follow Friday, a day when you tweet to your followers who you think they should follow. The True Blood Twitter account also refers to this day as Fang Friday.

On this particular Fang Friday, they announced that HBO will have a “Tiny, nasty surprise” on Sunday for all of us Truebies out there. Shortly thereafter, @TrueBloodHBO followed up that tweet with another asking its followers to watch HBO fifteen minutes prior to the premiere of another beloved HBO series, Big Love for an announcement.

Big Love premieres its final season beginning at 9PM EST/8 CST tomorrow January 16, 2011. It’s all very mysterious isn’t it?  Be sure to tune in 15 minutes early to HBO!

Now it’s your turn Truebies! What do you think HBO has in store for us tomorrow night? A season 4 teaser maybe? Tell us in the comment section below!

True Blood Ratings – Looking Good!

An article on marketwire.com reported a new study that finds ratings in a non-traditional way. Content Power Ratings, an annual report generated by Optimedia US, is a proprietary system of media metrics that provides the TV industry’s only ranking system covering TV, the Internet and mobile platforms. This year, the study included Facebook and the Nielsen BuzzMetrics.

The traditional TV rating systems have ignored the importance of audience participation. HBO‘s True Blood has benefitted “from higher audience viewer involvement – whether on Facebook or Twitter”. This creates a much better audience value than just rating TV viewing.

Within the Content Power Ratings key findings, True Blood is “#1 in cable and making its debut to the top 25 primetime performers list at #18”.

Thank you True Blood fans for continuing to follow us on Twitter.

TrueBloodNet.com’s Interview with Twitter’s Sophie-Anne Leclerq @Fangtasia_Queen

The wait for Season 3 of True Blood is still passing at a painfully slow pace for many fans. Everyone is searching for more information about season 3 than is currently released, and I’ve been trying to help make the wait less painful. I recently stumbled upon an amazing group of Twitter roleplayers, and they’ve been incredibly kind to me, allowing me to interview them. After seeing how well my interviews with SookieBill, and Tara went, Sophie-Anne Leclerq, @Fangtasia_Queen, graciously allowed me to interview her.

Isis: Hey Sophie, thank you so much for taking the time to be interviewed by me for TrueBloodNet.com!

@Fangtasia_Queen: It’s my pleasure and honor to be interviewed. Shall we begin?

Isis: Absolutely. When did you begin roleplaying, and was this your first character?

@Fangtasia_Queen: I started in October last year, and no she wasn’t.

Isis: What else have you done as a roleplayer?

@Fangtasia_Queen: I started off as a Twilight character *chuckles*

Isis: *laughing* Who and why? Is there something about vampires that just draws you to them?

@Fangtasia_Queen: I was Rosalie. My RL friend was playing Gianna Volturi at the time and she wanted me to join her group so I did. I became Rose and then I just blended Rosalie a little to make her less of nasty.

Isis: At least you made her better!

@Fangtasia_Queen: Yea, she’s a little stuck up in the books in my opinion, and I wanted to make her more approachable otherwise I wouldn’t have any friends! *laughs*

Isis: Always a good idea for any character that’s played!

@Fangtasia_Queen: Always, especially if you want to roleplay with other people…

Isis: Have you been anyone else?

@Fangtasia_Queen: Not really, I have made a few other characters to play with other people but Sophie is the only person that I invest my time in. Actually, I only played Rosalie for about a month, and Sophie-Anne is my main character and the only person I really play.

Isis: What do you like about her?

@Fangtasia_Queen: I like the fact that she is a woman in a powerful position to start with, I enjoy that she gets to tell the Viking Sheriff what to do and he has no choice but to listen. I love her attitude towards everything, she is so laid back and easy going but also a bitch when she needs to be. She’s very similar to me in real life.

Isis: Wow. I love that description! Would you say Sophie is more based upon the queen in the books or the queen from True Blood?

@Fangtasia_Queen: Aww, thanks! We haven’t really seen much of Sophie from the series yet, so I’m keen for season 3 to start. My Sophie is more like Sophie from the books at the moment, but I think that will change once we see what season 3 has in store for us.

Isis: What do you think of what we saw of Sophie so far in True Blood? I know that a lot of people on some websites have made negative comments about Evan Rachel Wood’s portrayal of Sophie-Anne.

@Fangtasia_Queen: I really love that Evan Rachel Wood plays her. I think she does her justice. As far as the Queen herself, I love that she toys with Bill and Eric. Those scenes were really entertaining and I can’t wait to see how that’s going to expand…

Really? How can people not like her? She looks exactly like the books described her and I think she does an amazing job!

Isis: Yes, sadly a lot of people on several websites left negative comments about Evan Rachel Wood. They said her portrayal of Sophie-Anne wasn’t “queenly” enough. Personally, I thought she was being devious and playing cat and mouse with Bill and everyone else. I LOVED it!

@Fangtasia_Queen: Well I think that’s where people will be in for a surprise with season 3, she’s going to be the feisty Queen that we all know and love, they just needed to establish her position of power first I think. As for Bill, I loved it when he was getting up to leave and then she decided to tell him about Maryann.

Isis: Yes, it was a pretty great moment in True Blood! Of course, now we’ll get to see Sophie as the intelligent woman she is.

@Fangtasia_Queen: Exactly, I can’t wait!

Isis: I just don’t get how people didn’t see her as a devious queen, even with that scene!

@Fangtasia_Queen: I think a lot of people thought that she was too “nice” but I guess they will be in for a shock then when next season starts.

Isis: Back to the questions! Is seeing more of Sophie going to drastically change the way you play her now?

@Fangtasia_Queen: I don’t think so, it sure will make things interesting though

Isis: Yes, it will. What do you find most enjoyable about being Sophie?

@Fangtasia_Queen: I’d have to say my relationships with people ranging from Eric all the way through to Hadley and Sookie and everyone in between, I love that I get to interact with all of them and love that there is a relationship there, be it authoritative figure or otherwise.

Isis: More power to you!

@Fangtasia_Queen: *chuckles* Just like Sophie, I like the company.

Isis: And I’ve noticed that you give as good as you get when it comes to comments from your followers, calling some out for being stupid with the queen, and then treating others really well for respecting you and your authority! It’s incredibly similar to how I’ve always seen Sophie as she’s shown in True Blood.

@Fangtasia_Queen: Thank you! The Queen would never tolerate such behavior so I have to do her justice in dealing with it, be it educating the masses (which I seem to be doing a lot lately) or praising people for being kind. I like to think that I stand on the fence in a lot of issues and always give an unbiased opinion, and I’d like to think that is why so many people come to me with their issues.

Isis: What’s the smartest thing to do should someone want to get on your good side?

@Fangtasia_Queen: Always say please and thank you, *chuckles* and bringing me some fairy blood would also be beneficial…

Isis: *nodding* Is offering just normal human blood good as well?

@Fangtasia_Queen: Oh yes! *pops fangs* are you offering? *chuckles*

Isis: *laughing* Maybe not here, as I’m still conducting this interview… But how about later on Twitter?

@Fangtasia_Queen: You know I’m always up for a snack.

Isis: Yep! Being queen must take a LOT of energy and patience!

@Fangtasia_Queen: It does, especially when there are so many idiots around, sometimes it;s just easier to drain first and ask questions later. *chuckles*

Isis: I’m sure it also doesn’t hurt to have minions to take the fall for you sometimes…

@Fangtasia_Queen: *laughs* Not at all, maybe that’s why I have so many…

Isis: You also seem to have a very significant other, as well as some “children” you’re very close to. Can you tell me about them?

@Fangtasia_Queen: I do have a very significant other, I’m married to an amazing vampire, @VampireNatrix. We have a child together, our own original character @RuNzWiTvampz, and then I have three children of my own… @VampHadley, @FangtasiaSerge, and @Andre_leclerq, all of whom are my canon children. They all bring their own personalities and opinions to twitter and I love them all dearly.

Isis: Sounds like you have a nice family!

@Fangtasia_Queen: Indeed it is, my children all are independant and do their own thing and it’s nice to have our newest edition Laila (@RuNzWiTvampz) keeping us on our toes with her newborn antics.

Isis: Does she play with Bill‘s child Jessica at all?

@Fangtasia_Queen: I would hate to think of the trouble they would get into!

Isis: It might be amusing, so long as one isn’t in the immediate vicinity of where they are…

@Fangtasia_Queen: Very true, although I don’t think I want to clean up the mess.

Isis: Yes, and that’s why it’s good to be queen! You can have your minions clean up for you!

@Fangtasia_Queen: Exactly!!

Isis: Ok, I’ve really got to back to the questions… What do you find to be the most challenging part of playing Sophie?

@Fangtasia_Queen: Always playing the mediator when people won’t budge on their opinions. It’s hard to help people with their issues when they don’t really want your advice, but you still try to help, if that makes sense.

Isis: Yes, it does, and unfortunately, it seems like that happens all the time.

@Fangtasia_Queen: It does, especially when neither can see the other’s point of view. Let’s all just play nicely together!

Isis: Yes, playing nice is VERY important!

@Fangtasia_Queen: I agree. But then again, people have to listen to me as I’m the queen of Louisiana!

Isis: That actually leads to my next question: have any fans confused you with the real Sophie-Anne we see on True Blood?

@Fangtasia_Queen: So many people do ALL the time, especially on Facebook – I get quite a few messages asking for my autograph and asking what working with Alexander Skarsgard is like.

Isis: How do you answer those requests?

@Fangtasia_Queen: I just tell them that I am a role play character and not Evan Rachel Wood.

Isis: How do those people respond?

@Fangtasia_Queen: Sometimes I need to explain the whole concept but once they understand they are good with it.

Isis: Have they left any strange comments for you?

@Fangtasia_Queen: Not really; most people back off once they know I’m not really Sophie.

Isis: But have there been any strange requests aimed at Sophie?

@Fangtasia_Queen: I do have an avid follower who still thinks I’m Sophie no matter how much I deny it, he likes to send me daily greetings of how he loves my red hair. I guess that would be the only one that sticks out in my mind.

Isis: Wow. I guess you’ve got a VERY loyal follower there!

@Fangtasia_Queen: Yeah, I do.

Isis: What’s the next step for Sophie, do you think?

@Fangtasia_Queen: Well she’s in Beijing at the moment with her new husband and child, so first thing she needs to return home. After that you might want to keep a close eye on some business that might involve Mr. Compton…

Isis: Oh man, more trouble for poor Bill and Sookie?!??!

@Fangtasia_Queen: Maybe not so much Sookie but for Bill? Yes.

Isis: I feel really bad for both of them, even though we know thanks to spoilers that something bad is going to really happen in season 3. It’s just that they make such a cute couple!

@Fangtasia_Queen: Yeah, they do make a cute couple but they they’re just one part of what makes True Blood so great. Everyone in the show also helps to make it great.

Isis: I know that. Season 3 is going to be amazing!

@Fangtasia_Queen: At least we have TrueBloodNet.com to give us the latest news so that the wait isn’t as bad! Being able to role play helps too.

Isis: Thank you for the compliment. We at TrueBloodNet.com work hard to keep everyone updated. And thank you for the interview! You’ve been fantastic!

@Fangtasia_Queen: Thanks. I had a lot of fun.

For those of you interested in checking out the role playing (which I highly recommend because this group is so good), you can find a list of the current group of role players on their website, twittertrueblood.webs.com, which can be found under the Character navigation link. It is worth it to check them out!

TrueBloodNet.com’s Interview with Twitter’s Tara Thornton @Tara_ThorntonBT

The wait for Season 3 of True Blood is still taking forever for many fans, even though the wait is actually getting shorter. As many of you know, I recently stumbled upon an amazing group of Twitter roleplayers, and they’ve been incredibly kind to me, allowing me to interview them. After seeing how well my interview with Sookie and then my interview with Bill went, Tara Thornton @Tara_ThorntonBT decided that I could add her to my list of interviewees! Thanks for being open to the interview!

Isis: Hey Tara, great to have you tonight!

@Tara_ThorntonBT: I’m happy to be here! Now can we please get started? I’m really excited for this.

Isis: You got it! I’d love to know why you role play and what got you into it.

@Tara_ThorntonBT: I got into role playing on Facebook last year when I first got hooked on True Blood. This was around May of last year. I found a group of role players that were looking for characters. So I sent them a message and they asked me some questions and gave me TaraThornton. The big joke with that character is that my real life name is Tara and my real life hubby’s name is JB. A little ironic *laughs*

Isis: Yes, but that’s also really cool!

Tara Roleplayer (Tara): The original group I role played with is still around but I left and decided to go to Twitter and now here I am.

Isis: Cool. How do you like this current group?

@Tara_ThorntonBT: This group has some absolutely amazing minds in it. We all work so well together. If it’s story ideas, we have some amazing writers and imaginations, let it be web designers who can make amazing webpages and backgrounds for us or just some real awesome role players who fit the parts well!

Isis: Sounds like you’ve found a place in the role play, and it works so well for you! Have you ever been anyone besides Tara in role play?

@Tara_ThorntonBT: Nope, this is the only character I have seriously done. I did make a vampire character once… but she was executed *laughing* and through that experience I know I make a terrible vampire, but I did make some real good role play friends through it that I still play with once in a while.

Isis: Wow… Executed… Sounds like you think human’s the way to go, then.

@Tara_ThorntonBT: Yeah… Human works for me.

Isis: But then again, being human comes with its own set of problems. For example, your Tara is addicted to V… Care to comment on that?

@Tara_ThorntonBT: Tell me about it… I needed some kind of story line to fill in the time and well Tara tends to make some rather poor choices. Since the death of Eggs she hasn’t been doing great. I mean, he was the love of her life and now he’s gone. So I thought it would almost be fitting for her character to get caught in the dark trap of V as a way to kill the heartbreak of losing Eggs.

Isis: *nodding* A sad choice, but I can see how it’s realistic for Tara. At the same time, though, after seeing what Jason went through with his V addiction… I wonder if she really thought this all through.

@Tara_ThorntonBT: Does she ever think things through?? Look at the mess Bon Temps was in after she got involved with Maryann, Eggs, and Carl.

Isis: True. But Tara‘s incredibly smart. We’ve known that since the first episode of True Blood. At times I wonder about how much Tara‘s need to be in control is hurting her. She only has one true friend that we know of as it is.

@Tara_ThorntonBT: Sookie has been her saving grace… but now that she is tied up with the vampires, Sookie doesn’t seem to be around that much to help Tara steer clear of trouble.

Isis: Yes. Does that information help you create such a great Tara? What else helps you guide Tara to being so realistic?

@Tara_ThorntonBT: Yes it does… at least in my eyes. Tara’s attitude also helps. Her ‘I don’t give a damn what you think’ attitude is something I tend to be a bit similar to in real life, so I find it quite easy to play Tara. Our motto: If you don’t like it don’t look.

Isis: It’s a great motto!

@Tara_ThorntonBT: It works.

Isis: Do you find your Tara to be more based on True Blood or the Sookie Stackhouse novels?

@Tara_ThorntonBT: I find my Tara to be based more on True Blood rather than the novels.

Isis: Is it just because she’s a stronger character on True Blood, or is there more to it?

@Tara_ThorntonBT: There’s definitely more to it. I find the Tara in the books not to be a strong backboned kind of girl. But her character in the books isn’t a major one either. The show Tara will rip your lips off if you get in her face and is all backbone, independent and very stubborn on the outside, but on the inside I see a young lady that is struggling with her identity with a mother that is an alcoholic/religious fanatic. Tara in the show still hasn’t found her own self yet and that’s why the tough exterior. It helps hide her own insecurities.

Isis: Wow. Very deep. Have you incorporated any of book Tara‘s traits at all?

@Tara_ThorntonBT: I do run @TarasTogs in some story lines and one there was a JB DuRone that showed up and we played. But right now I have @Franklin_MottTB lurking in the shadows…

Isis: Yes, what’s going on with Tara and Franklin? How much bloodshed should we expect?

@Tara_ThorntonBT: Well we know in the books Franklin Mott is NOT nice to Tara, and from what I’ve read around on all the sites like TrueBloodNet.com, etc that this is going to be one ugly season again for poor Tara. I read somewhere that Franklin Mott is evil, so lots of blood I’m sure.

Isis: Unfortunately, Tara seems to have terrible luck in love. Hopefully she’ll find true love sooner rather than later!

@Tara_ThorntonBT: I don’t know what Alan Ball has in store for Tara. I just hope it’ll be good in a few ways.

Isis: Hopefully it’ll be good! After all, Tara‘s incredibly important as a main secondary character. Anyways, it seems to me that Tara‘s getting a raw deal the same way Vampire Bill is. Is your role play group going to make their lives any easier, do you think?

@Tara_ThorntonBT: You know, now that you’ve mentioned it, we can almost call Tara the human Bill (just without the man bangs).

Isis: *laughing* I hadn’t even considered that, but good point!

@Tara_ThorntonBT: Well right now, Tara is going through the addiction road to hell but when this story line is over next week I will be making her character lighter in lieu of season 3.

Isis: Sounds great! It’s obvious that you love what you’re doing as the delightful Ms. Thornton. What do you love most about being Tara?

@Tara_ThorntonBT: Getting away with what I do on the stream *grins* I think I am the only human on the Twitter stream that can get away with the hash tag #DamnVamp and not get drained!

Isis: True, but then again, I’m sure that can make Tara‘s life difficult sometimes. What’s the most challenging part of being Tara?

@Tara_ThorntonBT: Not becoming a happy meal. However, a lot of various characters have my back out there if there is a problem let it be Vampires, Fairies, Demons, Shifters or what ever else is out there. They know not to mess with me!

Isis: A backup plan is always good!

@Tara_ThorntonBT: I tend to be “over protected” out there so there is no chance of me becoming a snack or turned or killed out there because someone is always watching me. I mean the first time @Franklin_MottTB hit the stream with me 2 weeks ago I had five vampires out there ready to go after him!

Isis: WOW! Protection comes out of the shadows!

@Tara_ThorntonBT: Last night he showed up again and I had five different Eric‘s ready to go after him!

Isis: *laughing at the image of five Eric‘s…*

@Tara_ThorntonBT: I have part of the Magister‘s retinue watching as well, and they all have different personalities, trust me!

Isis: Is it like having Dissociative Identity Disorder (one person with multiple personalities) at all?

@Tara_ThorntonBT: They all have their own personalities…one Eric is your silly Eric, another is the over-sexed up Eric, and then there are the Eric‘s that are just perfect for the role (like ours). The Bill‘s are the same.

Isis: The twitter stream seems to be incredibly diverse!

@Tara_ThorntonBT: I know! When it comes to the Bill‘s, I have one that serenades me all the time, even though he’s a terrible singer! But then again, there’s also your depressed Bill and your happy Bill, over-sexed Bill and under-sexed Bill, and then, of course, the Perfect Bill (man bangs and all).

Isis: Do you have a favorite amongst the Bill‘s and Eric‘s?

@Tara_ThorntonBT: Not really. Depending on the day I play with various groups. Tara role players are scarce on the internet, and I really belong to everyone on the stream. Since I’ve met so many Bill‘s and Eric‘s, I can’t choose at all! But yeah, the sparse selection of Tara‘s online and my willingness to work with other groups has helped make Tara a popular character. I love playing her.

Isis: Wow, that’s amazing! Does Tara change with each group you play with?

@Tara_ThorntonBT: Yeah, I do. For example, I’ve got NOLA Tara who hangs out with Queen Sophie-Anne (@Fangtasia_Queen) and is engaged to another vampire, @FangtasiaSerge. It’s totally out of character! Then, there’s Bon Temps Tara (my real home base with the awesome @TB_Sookie). There’s also Tara that has gone on wild and crazy adventures in Las Vegas to rescue the Magister’s Executioner and assistant when they were brainwashed… Basically, Tara tends to be all over the grid so to speak. But since the Bon Temps group was formed, Tara tends to stay put in Bon Temps where she belongs *for now.* Since we’re that much closer to season 3 and I have finally found my true family group of players, Tara hasn’t wondered off from Bon Temps.

Isis: How is season 3 going to affect you and this group as role players?

@Tara_ThorntonBT: I am so EXCITED! All the people we are currently casting are characters from the show and we’re basically searching the stream for players who will fit the roles as those characters. They are coming from every group out there. Some of our new characters are also role players from Facebook; some have never even role played before! Our @SamMerlotteBT is a new role player. The person now behind Sam sent us an email asking about the role because we really needed it filled. Luckily, it turned out to be a pleasant surprise, and we’ve got a great Sam!

Isis: Wow, that’s great, but back to you! Do you ever have fans who can’t separate you from the Tara Thornton on True Blood?

@Tara_ThorntonBT: All the time. It’s stated on my bio the this is a role play account… but I still get direct messages from people asking me what’s going to happen in season 3 and for autographs and stuff. I’m flattered but I usually send them a message back stating thanks for the compliment but I am NOT Rutina Wesley. Funny enough, those fans are my biggest supporters in role play once they know that this is a fictional account.

Isis: That’s pretty cool. Any strange comments aimed at you?

@Tara_ThorntonBT: Sometimes… Like right now people are watching this story line seriously. I am getting all sorts of comment in my Form Spring box either loving it or hating it. The followers are quite split on what I’ve done with the V story line. I remember about 3 weeks ago I was getting quite bored so I decided to run a poll: Should Tara Thornton be turned into a vampire? Well, I stirred the stream up with that one, and obviously after nearly 800 votes the answer was no, but for the longest time the yes was in the lead. *laughing* After the poll closed it was around 85% no. To keep the fans interested in True Blood, (and to prevent myself from getting bored,) Tara Thornton on twitter does some strange thing out there to “wake” up the stream. There are nights where she’ll open up Merlotte’s, play music, and mix exotic drinks to whomever wants them. It’s not really a story line, but just some fun for everyone.

Isis: Well, it’s a great way to get fans to interact! And now, for the final question… What’s next for @Tara_ThorntonBT?

@Tara_ThorntonBT: Wow… I really have no idea what’s next for me… I know Franklin is lurking around, The NOLA bunch has a silly story line about the compound being haunted or something, but right now we have to deal with the V addiction and see who Tara’s “surprise” visitor is in jail in next week’s Twittersode!

Isis: A very good question! I can’t wait to find out!

@Tara_ThorntonBT: *grins* I’m SO not going to tell you… You have to wait like the everyone else for next Saturday.

TrueBloodNet.com’s Interview with Twitter’s Bill Compton @BillCompton_TB

The wait for Season 3 of True Blood is slowly getting shorter and shorter, but it’s still not enough for some of us fans. As many of you probably know, I recently stumbled upon an amazing group of Twitter roleplayers, and they’ve been incredibly kind to me, allowing me to interview them. After seeing how well my interview with Sookie went, Bill Compton @BillCompton_TB decided that it would be okay for me to interview him as well. Thanks for being so gracious and allowing me to interview you!

Isis: Hi, Bill. Very pleased that you were willing to do this interview! Shall we begin?

BillCompton_TB: Absolutely.

Isis: Ok, first, when did you start roleplaying? Is this your first group?

BillCompton_TB: No actually, I’ve been online roleplaying since around twelve years old. I’ve been playing on story boards for many years as well.

Isis: What other fandoms have you role played for, and what characters have you been?

BillCompton_TB: The first character I created was for mass RP in a realm called Rhydin, I think it was exclusive to AOL Chat rooms. What evolved was a group who played on a board called New Avalon. My first Character was a Prince of Avalon who could actually open portals to other realms, Earth in particular. It was great. He became an Entertainment Lawyer, haha. I’ve also been a prince of Rome (my character actually killed his father, the Caesar, and brought his head home in a cloth bag), multiple vampires and even a pirate named Vain.

Isis: Cool! I’m a fan of Ancient Romans, but that’s in an entirely different series from True Blood. Anyways, what’s your inspiration to be the most realistic Bill possible?

BillCompton_TB: Well, I’ve read all of the books, and actually being from the South helps I think. I know men like Bill, besides people who keep up with True Blood RP want the characters to remain as close to the originals as possible I think.

Isis: Yes, we at TrueBloodNet.com feel that you guys keep an important part of True Blood‘s fan base involved during the wait between seasons. After all, news and spoilers only get you so far…

BillCompton_TB: Exactly! so what better way for us to pass the time as RPer than to play our favorite characters. I’m very fortunate for the opportunity. And a special thanks to everyone who watches our Twittersodes.

Isis: Yes! I love those! I heard that last week you and Eric wrote the episode. What was with the tormenting of Bill, and what’s in store for the new Twittersode? It made me feel really bad for you!

BillCompton_TB: Eric mostly, he is a genius. He comes up with these great plans and I just kind of add some of the small details. I give him the credit. Haha, the tormenting of Bill. Yeah, I’ve been dealing with that for a while now. When Eric sets his mind to torture, there’s no end to it, and thank you for the worry. It’s just all part of the fun. The new Twittersode… is  a surprise, but will be just as fun as the last. It will involve more characters this time, possibly Jason and Tara and Lafayette. I’m looking forward to it.

Isis: Cool! I’m just dying with curiosity!

BillCompton_TB: Sookie is actually the mastermind behind this week’s episode.

Isis: Yes, and she kept her mouth shut.

BillCompton_TB: (laughing)

Isis: What’s the support system like behind the scenes of the roleplay group? Because you all seem to work together magnificently!

BillCompton_TB: Thank you! Surprisingly, we do. Everyone is very in tune to their characters and it’s a great group. Everyone is very open to others ideas, and that’s what it takes to make it work. I haven’t encountered a lot of ego with this bunch… well… aside from Eric. -grins-

Isis: I’m sure it’s all in fun, though.

BillCompton_TB: It is. He’s a great guy, very talented, they all are.

Isis: Great! How goes the relationship between Sookie and Bill right now? Is it going to stay sweet as it is now?

BillCompton_TB: As much as I would love to say that It will stay as nice forever… we all know that all good things have to eventually come to an end. There’s a Viking lurking in the shadows I’m sure… For now though, yes. Sookie and Bill are very much in love.

Isis: *smiles* It’s really great how realistically you and Sookie interact! So much love between you, just like on True Blood!

BillCompton_TB: Why thank you! I’m sure I can speak for Sookie and everyone else when I say we want it to be as close to the real things as possible.

Isis: Well, you guys do it really well! Do you feel like you follow the books or the show more?

BillCompton_TB: Hmm. So far it’s been a good mix of the two but I believe as the Twittersodes progress that they will lean more toward the show.

Isis: Have you had any weird experiences role playing as Bill? Do fans think you’re the Bill Compton we see on True Blood?

BillCompton_TB: You know, I think a time or two I’ve spoken to people who might have had that thought, it was very flattering actually. As far as weird experiences, not weird in a bad way. I’m thrilled to have the fans, and people have been so nice.

Isis: So nothing like Sookie, with the picture and autograph requests?

BillCompton_TB: I DID have an autograph request! My only answer was “I’m sure we can figure out something.”

Isis: How did that person respond?

BillCompton_TB: I’m not sure that they’ve responded yet; I really would have loved to have sent an autographed picture, however it probably would not have been what they were looking for. They would have received it and said “Who the h*ll is this?”

Isis: True, but it would have been amusing!

BillCompton_TB: I know, I would so love to see their face when they opened the envelope.

Isis: Yes, but back on topic… If you could be anyone else in this group, who would it be and why?

BillCompton_TB: Eric of course. He’s truly a dynamic character. I’ve actually played him before on a story board but once meeting @SheriffNorthman, I no longer wanted to. He truly has captured the essence of the thousand year old viking in my opinion.

Isis: Have you been other characters for True Blood before?

BillCompton_TB: Yes… I began my True Blood career as Lafayette of all people. I’ve also played Sam.

Isis: Wow! Both of them are great characters too!

BillCompton_TB: Both are awesome characters! I had a blast but I had never tried my hand at someone so… vibrant… as Lafayette.

Isis: What was playing Lafayette like? Was he at all similar to playing Bill for you?

BillCompton_TB: Believe it or not, the ease of playing him was similar to the ease of playing Bill but that’s where the comparisons end. Playing Lafayette is a blast. I actually work with a girl who reminds me a lot of him so I was decent with the accent.

Isis: Sounds fun, but now that we’ve discussed Lafayette, what’s the most challenging part of being Bill? After all, you ARE Bill now!

BillCompton_TB: Probably making him so good all of the time. I’m not used to playing the good guys. He also gets a lot of flack from the other Vampires of Area 5. “Wet Blanket” no longer affects him. Eric can be ruthless in his pursuit of Sookie and her talents.

Isis: I think we’ve ALL noticed that, but what do you mean you’re not used to playing good guys?

BillCompton_TB: Before Bill, most of my characters have been bad boys. I currently play another Vampire of Area 5 with a pretty nasty reputation.

Isis: *eyebrow arches* Do tell me more. *grinning*

BillCompton_TB: Well, I also play the Deputy to @SheriffNorthman, @RomanLucious. It’s sometimes strange to try to undermine Bill when I am Bill.

Isis: I’m sure. Any particular exploits that you’re proud of?

BillCompton_TB: You mean as Roman or as Bill?

Isis: As both.

BillCompton_TB: Well. As Bill, I am proud to have survived a recent encounter with the Magister. As Roman, I once saved the life of Dracula… who wants me dead. But that’s a very long story for another time.

Isis: But now you’ve got me really curious!

BillCompton_TB: Well, around five hundred years ago, Roman served Dracula but actually ended up fleeing with Dracula‘s wife to save her life. The dark Prince really holds a grudge.

Isis: I’m sure he does.

BillCompton_TB: Absolutely. If you ever see @DraculaYTM lurking about. Run.

Isis: Good advice. Thanks. I’ll happily take it, as I’m sure other TrueBloodNet.com fans will.  So far, in True Blood, has anything happened that really inspired your role playing?

BillCompton_TB: Actually the support of the other players has really inspired me. I have a lot of talent to live up to. As far as in roleplay, it’s been challenging to raise a newborn vampire. Jessica has really tried Bill‘s patience, and then most recently, Lorena has been assigned by the Magister to stay with Jessica and Bill. The greater the challenge the better inspired I become… and boy, what a challenge!

Isis: I’m sure! Do you stay up to date with the spoilers coming out about Season 3 of True Blood?  Do they affect your portrayal of Bill at all?

BillCompton_TB: I’ve tried to keep up and am very anxious for the season to start… it hasn’t affected my portrayal yet, but I’m sure as more clues are out, I’ll adjust.

Isis: What do you feel the next step for Bill is?

BillCompton_TB: -grins-  marriage?

Isis: Well, I’d certainly hope so!

BillCompton_TB: I have it under good authority that a certain waitress might indeed say yes. *Shhh*

Isis: That’s wonderful, and I certainly hope that she gives it a go! You two do make a beautiful couple! Have you decided on the where and how of the proposal?

BillCompton_TB: Well… dinner?  Dancing maybe… Somewhere quiet. I’m certain if you keep up with the Twittersodes you won’t be disappointed.

Isis: Yes… you’ve been unliving in sin for far too long! Hopefully Sookie says yes. Anything else you want to tell TrueBloodNet.com‘s readers?

BillCompton_TB: Just to keep watching, we really appreciate the viewers and that I absolutely LOVE TrueBloodNet.com! You guys are awesome!

Isis: Thanks! We really do appreciate hearing that!
