True Blood Season 3 Spoiler: Alan Ball Teases Us

Bill-and-Sookie-dancingAlan Ball is already teasing True Blood fans by providing us with a little season 3 spoiler news.  Alan told TVGuide that the show will be saying goodbye to at least one character next season and it is going to be, as Alan puts it:

“Somebody is going to bite the dust and it’s going to be really good to see them get what they deserve.”

Alan goes on to elaborate by stating that “it’s a person we’ll be happy to see go.”

So True Blood fans any idea who do you think he is referring to? There is one that stands out in my  mind but what do you think?  Comment below and let the speculations begin!

I am in agreement with most of you. LORENA has to go, and it would be awesome if they let Sookie be the one to stake her as she does in the book.

I do wonder about Jessica-this character (not the actress) has no real presence in the TB world. But I would lean to Lorena becuase in a recent interview AB states Jessica may be seen more, her story will have a greater focus.

I’ll go with Lorena for now and see what information and spoilers come about.

nothing is absolute in the supernatural world – but regardless of if Daphne was evil or enslaved – I visualize her twin sister to be the good – pure one – the fact that they look the same only makes it more interesting – remember twists are what makes fans react and that is the magic of what the writers in this show are doing – thanks for your imput :). its bye bye lorena… it has to be. she’s dead by book 4 and i hope that they stick to the books by having sookie steak her for sure! why would Pam die…she never did anything wrong? or Hoyte ? that doesn’t make any sense all these characters you guys are referring to are still alive all the way to book 9.

no no no no Lois oda daphne was just plain evil… mary ann was not able to control shifters or vampires… or anything not 100% human. so daphne did everything on her own choice.

Antonio – you said Daphne was evil but she was under the Maenads spell as was Eggs – she had no will – she was not a pet – she was A slave – by suggesting that Sam should meetbjer twin sister ( I made this up – not in book or show) I mean that Daphne was kidnapped and brainwashed by Mayrann – taken from her kind – the sister and cousin would be searching for her – this sister is also the sweet – pure one – the one who changes into the doe (the male cousin is a buck) – there could be a lot of fear for Sam but a huge attraction and more depth for shapeshifters – I hope you like this idea now that I explained it more – again thanks for saying I should be one of the writers for Trueblood – mahalo Lois

Lorena & FOTS ppl are next on the list to go.. & nobody cares on the Eric team that Lorena Dies or the Bill team ( for that matter) in fact the Bill team would be happy of with the death of Lorena & the Eric team expects her death or FOTS.. so this is not really a spoiler unless AB is killing off Laffy finally or Jessica .. maybe Hoyt dies off the show to bring in JB? i for one would find that cool & enjoy that..

Its Great to read So Many different ideas here!!
I’m sure these discussions will last until at least next spring,huh? Personally, I think Sophie-Ann needs to go. And Maybe Pam (dont really like her character,anyway) Lorena,Maybe But we must remember this is The Show NOT The Books! AB and the writers are capable of doing a fine job in entertaining us!
If Anyone should “bite the dust” next year it should be a Were..As they are savage and unmanageable!! I like the Jessica storyline So I wouldnt want to see her go! As for Sam,Here’s a thought…Under different circumstances, If she wasnt such a Kook, Maryann and Sam might have made a nice couple. They are Both nice looking people and she did want him for a reason. The Wrong 1 I know!! If Maryann Wasnt So Crazy Maybe she and Sam could have been lovers. Of Course, I feel bad for Sam,Jason, and Tara It would be nice if each of them could find someone to truly love them. As for Daphne,Do Not mention that Bitch!! She was working for Maryann The Whole Time!!
She got to Sam so she could deliver him to Maryann!!

    Thank you – it would be a dream come true for me to be a contributing writer to Truebloid and Mr Ball who I consider a genius – I was told that one has a better chance of becoming a vampire by a producer I know –
    Than to get a chance to work with and write for the Truebloid show – but hope springs eternal in the heart of humans – so I offer up any ideas I have Mr Ball and his brilliant writers if they want them It would be a great honor.
    This is the first time that I have felt that the film version is so many thimes better than the books – there is almost no comparison – the books are interesting but the show hypnotized us and is phenomenal –

    I think I have read every book on vampires and supernaturals – Anne Rice and Charlene Harris I have read many times – usually books are better than shows/movies/tv but in the case of Truebloid the opposite is true – this series is so superior to the books that I had to force myself to reread them for reference sake –

I think it is Lorena that vampire-napped Bill, because she is wearing the same gloves she wore in the “Hard Hearted Hannah” episode(either Alan and crew wanted to trick us with that or it was a clue).. I think it will also be her that will die by Sookies hand as in the books, because Sookie has already proved that she isn’t intimidated by her a bit.(Even though she probably should be since Lorena doesn’t need her the was the other vamps do!!)

it’s proberly Steve Newlin since the FOTS are supose to attack Club Dead.. but i wouldnt mind if it was Laffy ( he is pointless on the show).. or Jessica could Die off as well she is pointless on the show..

Eric needs to have had many lovers – he is 1000 years old after all – obviously one of them had to be Pam because he is her maker and they have a close relationship even now – I think a series of flashbacks for Eric in other earlier times with beauties even famous ones – would be spicy – he needs real women – not girls – Sookie is too small for him – she does nit make it physically with his body type and let’s face it we want to see as much of him as we see of Bill or Sam – so he needs hot taller women and better sex scenes
Even though I personsally prefer Bills type of man and body – no way Eric is not a great looking man and the more we get of each the better – I just think that fairy blood should not make it that Sookie gets all the males -especially the vampires
Jason needs to have more depth too – not just the cut body and fairy blood attraction – but sone depth without drugs – maybe with the wereanimals like in the books but a whole creature nit some partial thing
I know the book does not go there with Tera but I see her as a good witch hooking up with a powerful warlock – maybe the writers could go that way and not add an extra witch character and give Tara more depth too
also Sam needs another shape-shifter girlfriend – I like Daphnes twin coming to find her but finds Sam – not in the books but he deserves a girl who loves him really

    Great post,Lois! Maybe You should be 1 of the writers on the show!! We must remember that the books and the show are different…Perhaps its better that way. If you Have read the books then you have an idea What to expect…No drama,No surprises Not very good Drama or TV. I Like to be surprised,taken aback like that whole weird,bizarre Maryanne nude,ritual orgy thing! Makes me cringe sometimes but its good tv and it never is dull or boring!!

    Films Or Tv shows do not always follow books to the letter.Thats why they usually state “Loosely based” on this book or that book. The Twilight film,for example I thought the film was pretty good Not great but OK Of Course, I thought that the
    Book was better. You must remember that the producers And the directors can always opt to take dramatic license with a project and project their own persoanl vision. Thats just How its is
    How Boring Under The Tuscan Sun Would have been if it was Just about Furniture and renovating a villa!!

Sophie Anne needs to go. I don’t like to see Eric’s character diminished because of that lunatic. Trueblood series needs to follow the books a little closer. After all Charlaine Harris is the original creator of that fantastic story. Bill needs to let the relationship between Eric and Sookie develops. Eric is absolutely amazing. I had read the book but I wasn’t watching the show until recently – Eric appeared I got addicted. Lorena can have Bill for a little while then she should die. Hahaha! Please don’t take Pam away she is one of Sookie’s buddy.

Lorena seems the obvious choice. Woman scorned and all. Of course there is the books as well that unfortunately takes the surprise away. I hope Alan keeps changing things up though. I love his changes from the books. Even Alex S. said the show should be different. So you never know who might be behind it.
Can’t wait for next season!!!!

    I hope Alan makes it a were working at the restaurant that kidnapped Bill. He said he was going to introduce the weres in Season 3 and what better way for him do to that than to have one of the restaurant workers kidnap Bill, for Lorena?? for the Queen??? Think about it, Bill would be able to detect Eric or Lorena in the restaurant and if someone was to kidnap Bill, an employee of that restaurant would be a good choice because Bill’s senses would have already registered his/her presence there as a worker, therefore, non threatening. Also, the abductor had gloves on. Weres are also “allergic” to silver. So it could be a vampire or a were. hmmmm.

It has got to be lorena because she has bill locked away from sookie and she is the most hated since mary ann is gone I would have to bet on it.I just wish the new season would go on and start.

Bill is my favorite character – I also like Eric – both as well as Sookie are vital all the books including the one coming up – also none of them can go since they have 7 year contracts – further the triangle of attraction for those 3 are the core of the show – so Sokie being the fickle and somewhat naive character she is will go back and forth between them for the rest of the run of this show. Alan Ball is too good a wrter/producer/director to drop any of them because they are the continuity of the story.
I just hope that my analysis of the intellegence of the writing team does not allow it to use any of the weak reasons that the author of the books uses to keep the triangle going as well as providing daliances with the other many male caracters that are attracted to Sookie – like the Queen sent Bill in the begining ( who cares he obviously loves her – if that makes her mad Sookie does not deserve him) like Eric is cursed by witches and does not know who he is and cant remember – UGH! Dumb really – How about Sookie thinks Bill is dead and so goes to Eric because Bill told her too – only to find that Bill is not dead later – all is forgiven again. I am counting on the fine writing crew to
make us keep believing in love and intellegence of the characters – and not to go off on some stupid tangent like some in the books.
Love should prevail over and over – As for Eric (who is a hunk) he should have many excitng lovers – he is wicked after all

Seeing we have already met Lorena and the majority of the viewers already know what a b*tch she is, I say her. I do hope Sookie stakes her!! She should, as if Lorena is the kidnapper, she would have made Sookie very mad and Sookie loves her Bill, so yes, Lorena will hit the dust!

Ok well of course in the books it’s Lorena…but also in season 2 at Godric’s house in Dallas Bill told Lorena that she was dead to him and then she got this scandalous, hatred look on her face and said something like “I wish you hadn’t said that.” She was all crying and sad and then boom, she was in biach mode. So yeah, it has to be Lorena.

Ohhh and I am sooo Team Eric! I hope that we get to see their relationship more like it is in the books and the fact that Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer are engaged doesn’t effect the storyline at all.

    I’m hoping that its either Sophie-Ann,Pam or maybe even Hoyt Fortenberry? That would create some Real drama and Jessica would have somethingt in common with Jason(As they will have Both lost lovers) Why should Lorena bite the dust IF Someone Else abducted Bill?? Sophie-Ann? Eric?? Alcide? Quinn??
