True Blood Season 3 Spoiler: Alan Ball Teases Us

Bill-and-Sookie-dancingAlan Ball is already teasing True Blood fans by providing us with a little season 3 spoiler news.  Alan told TVGuide that the show will be saying goodbye to at least one character next season and it is going to be, as Alan puts it:

“Somebody is going to bite the dust and it’s going to be really good to see them get what they deserve.”

Alan goes on to elaborate by stating that “it’s a person we’ll be happy to see go.”

So True Blood fans any idea who do you think he is referring to? There is one that stands out in my  mind but what do you think?  Comment below and let the speculations begin!

I know I am a sentimental old fool but I want Sookie to forgive Bill because of all he did for her. Would Gran like Eric-I THINK NOT!!!! That is if she ends up with Eric like the books say. They are not following the book very well so you never know what could happen. Sookie can be a b*tch sometimes. I just wanted to reach into the computer and hug Bill.

I think Lorena too, I don’t like her being a threat against Bill and Sookie. Would not miss her.

Lorena… hm… she is very evil… but I must admit I like her. Sookie has the image “everybody’s darling” but Lorena not. She fights for what’s important in her life and I like it. She is also very passionate…
It was foolish from Eric to believe that Bill takes Lorena back… he has to know it better… but he wants what Bill has and I think he never stop trying to get Sookie till she is his.

    I would hardly call her passionate… maniacally obsessive and desperate maybe but passionate is a bit of an under stretch to me.

    I don’t want to spoil the books but it is a bit different in relation to lorena than from true blood.

    From the books I can tell that season 3 is gonna be action packed! 😀

I think one of the reasons, why not Stephan or Alex or Ryan is under the 100 sexiest men alive is because… yet they are not so famous like johnny depp…

I was shocked that robert pattinson was the only vampire in this ranking, which makes me sad, because our male true blood characters are much more better looking than robert.

True blood should not only be showed on HBO, because … Yes many people know true blood… but comparing true blood with twilight.. more people know twilight than true blood… which is very sad…

in my hometown…I live in Europe..in Austria… only a few people (me including) knows true blood.. and this because only 1 channel shows true blood…but this in Germany.

so I’m glad that my girlfriend draw attention to this great series… because without her… I would not know this series and I would miss a lot of things in my life…

but back to the topic. the popularity of the characters of True blood is growing and I am confident that one day we will find Alex or Stephen or Ryan is on the top of the ranking of sexiest man alive 😉

I wanted to note that I saw the new People Magazine “Sexiest Men of 2009” and I was totally disappointed in it – I will give you that Johnney Depp and Brad Pitt are mature sexy men – but they left out all the gorgeous supernatural men in the television world – notable Stephen Moyer ( vampire Bill on Trueblood) Alexander (Vampire Eric on Trueblood) Ian (vampire Damon on diaries) and they did not even include the Supernatural hotties
Jensen Ackles ( Dean- Hunter) and Jared ( Sam-hunter) – I am shocked that the only one who made the cut was the Twilight
Vampire Edward – All I can figure is that they dont watch television – which has all the beautiful paranormal men.

    I think that honor should have gone to either Stephen Moyer OR Alexander Skarsgard! Even Ryan Kwanten certainly would have qualified for that! Ryan Reynolds and Rob Pattinson? Well you know what they say Never send a Boy to do a Man’s job!! that magazine is crazy!

    Hi Lois, I picked up the Peoples Sexiest men issue and Stephen and Alex are both in there!!!!!!
    Stephen was named “Most Smoldering”, so well deserved!!!
    Alex was named “Sexiest Bad boy”!Tpo much fun.
    Did you maybe miss them!

WHO ABDUCTED BILL And What will they do to Him?
Will Sookie get to him in time?
Will she “dabble” with Eric Or Alcide?
Will she and Sam have another chance?
So Many ??s This upcoming season may very well be the Best Yet!
I Cant wait to hear all the buzz about season 3! HBO Give Us some news! we are waiting for you to share with us all the Buzz!!
Hopefully they are finished with Jason nudity and we can move on to Eric? LOL

    I think we will see a lot more Eric (in more ways than one haha)
    in season 3.I hope Alan Ball stays pretty much true to the books
    cause Eric is so much more lovable,bad and hot in the books.I love his character in the TV show but boy oh boy he is sssssmokin
    in the books.I love the way he calls Sookie lover and plants one on her when it suits him.
    It will be a long wait for your American spring when season 3 starts but think of us Aussie Trubies we have to wait even longer.
    Thank god for modern technology,I can down load as it screens in the USA.

    Sorry to disappoint but we will be seeing alot more of Jason in season 3. According to a TV Guide interview with Alan Ball he stated such a fact. I believe his words were…”Fans will be seeing alot more of Jason and I do mean alot”. Yummy!!! Altho I do appreciate the eye candy, I to am eager to see more of Eric, Bill and Sookie.

Tara and Jason? Very likely Because if they were to get involved and she found out that He nixed her man Well There’s More Drama right there! Seeing More Eric is always a good thing!
Perhaps we’ll learn a bit more about Pam and how she came to be with him? Arlene and Terry expecting a surprise?
And Of Course, Sam Will he meet his real parents? does he have any siblings? does he have “wolf” blood in him?
Are there werewolves in his family? and what of the Weres Alcide and the others? What will they be like? Will we see them wolf out? Will Alcide try to take over the town as Maryann did? Will the weres feed a lot off of the townsfolk? Will Wolfbane and or garlic be Any protection?
Were a werewolf to bite or scratch Jason would He become 1?
So many questions! Cant wait till next summer!

    Antonio: I’m not sure if you read the books or not, but the Jason/were biting question was answered in one of them. Don’t want to spoil it for you if you want to wait, but there is an answer to that question.

I wonder who Mr Ball will cast as Alcide….I think Alex O’Loughlin would make a great Alcide.

        Rudy Reyes is Rudy Reyes its one of the actual marines from the platoon and he played himself in Generation Kill so I don’t know how much other acting he does but damn he’s hot!

          lol good plan generation kill is amazing. is it weird that i find it comforting?

          rudy’s the pretty boy of the platoon lol. i love alex his characters seem to be quite similar (obviously since alex himself is the common factor) but totally different at the same time. i love his calmness and composure lol. hes ones of my favourite actors now lol.

          Bought myself an early christmas present today,Generation Kill.
          So I’m going to watch it this weekend Kyle and check this Rudy guy out and get back to you.Mmmmmm it’s gonna be a good weekend.It may not be Eric but Iceman is sooooo cool and lets face it,it’s all about Alexander. :0)

          sounds like a plan to me. theyre great cos you can watch them a million times and not get bored cos there is so much military talk that you wont understand or have missed until youve seen it the third time lol.

    I love Alex O. He made an awesome vamp in Moonlight. Too bad they cancelled the series. I am not impressed with his new series “3 Rivers”. I hear it may be cancelled soon, so he may be looking for a goood part out there!!!!

Since Im 1 of the few pple who havent read the books but a devoted fan of the show…i would like to see Jessica getting fed-up with Hoyt’s Mother and turning her Fang-Hating Ass into a vampire. Naturally she would cause much death and destruction, forcing Hoyt to stake her evil ass!!! Now that would be something to watch.

I guess at this point all we can do is wait for tidbits and pieces in Dec. Particularly the Buzz on HBO. I wonder if HBO will offer Us fans a “First Look” at season 3 perhaps in Jan?
Would be nice. TB withdrawal…its a hard thing to deal with!
🙂 Its funny, I’ve tv for years many dramas many shows and yet I cannot seem to recall much Prior to watching TB…Isn’t That strange?? TB IS 1 of those rare tv shows that actually reaches out and grabs you with it’s storylines its writing and its performances by talented actors!
Its Really something! I feel happy And Sad at the same time
Happy that I’ve come to watch a really great show with storylines that keep me riveted and captivated…even if i sometimes cringe… And Sad that it will be So long until we see some new episodes. I feel as if i’d said Farewell to new and good friends. 1 thing is certain This is an experience I will Never forget! Craving for more “blood-work” goes on.

Spoiler!!!

First the ppl it can’t be. Bill, Eric, Pam, Sookie, Sam, and Tara. Could be Lafayette, but no one wants to see him go. Alan already kept him around for a season in which he wasn’t supposed to be in, and Alan Ball has already said that Lafayette will have a boyfriend this season.
My two choices are Lorena and Chow. Both of whom die in the books. Personally, I think its going to be Lorena. She’s not likeable, and she doesn’t have much of a character other than being crazy possessive of Bill. Since, she gets staked in book 3, my money is on her getting staked in similar fashion on the show.

    Yeah if its someone that we are going to be pleased to see die its got to be lorena cos chow hasnt done much and i also think that there was a definite deliberate reason why godric only ordered her out of his area and not to stay away from sookie and bill as you would expect.

      Well Godric is sheriff of area 9 and hi has power only on the vampires of his area, so he could not possibly ask her to stay away from Sookie and Bill, but yes I think it’s going to be Lorena the one who dies, in the books Sookie stack her in the thirth book, and think she might be tho one who kidnapped Bill…

        At first (although its obviously not) I thought it had something to do with Eric and the Queen but now I see Lorena going all ‘Misery’ on him.

        Unless its someone entirely new but my best bet is on Lorena.

          Yes Eric’s maker comes into book 10 and Godrick is already dead and wasn’t Erics maker as in the TV series.

Maybe Too long! It kind of reminds me of what Bella Swan says in the New Moon trailer “I felt the absence of him All Over the place,It’s llike a hole had been punched through my chest”
Of Course,I wouldnt go Crazy like she did screaming into her pillow and jumping off cliffs into the sea!! Perhaps a bit melodramatic But I Do miss the show! Even though,I’m glad the cast has some time off to be with family and friends.They are still working on other projects,I know But at least they now have Some time for themselves. Unitl the season 2 dvd comes out, We have Youtube and websites like This 1 We will have to keep momentum going over these next months!

    Does anyone know when the Season 2 DVD’s will be out – I pre-ordered but there was no date? Also can you give me the UTube or any other site where I can watch season 2 episodes now? I
    have HBO on demand at home but I am traveling for the next few weeks so only have season 1 dvds and my computer- any help is greatly appreciated.
    I was watching “Supernatural” dvds with my sons – not the caliber of Trueblood but interesting ideas about what kills vampires and other supernatural beings. Since I was told by a prodcer that knows Alan Ball and his writers that they do not take ideas from contributing writers ever – which is really disappointing because I’d be happy to sign a release and give them what I wrote to use as they wanted. But since that is the way it seems to be – I have decided to write some books about vampires and other supernaturals while Im waiting – I like your comments – Aloha

      hey you can find the whole of season 2 over at http://www.casttv.com or you can watch it on megavideo. i watched it there myself as were only on episode 2 of season 1 over here in england and i really couldnt wait that long to find out what happens so i watched it online. that site is quite reliable 🙂 hope this helps x
