True Blood Season 3 Spoiler News: Looking at the Romance

More True Blood season 3 spoiler news from Alan Ball regarding the romantic adventures our telepathic waitress, Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin) is going to experience in season 3Alan spoke with Michael Ausiello from EW.com and stated that whether you want to see Bill and Sookie together or Eric and Sookie you are going to be “very unhappy and oddly, very happy” this season.  The reasoning behind his comment is the addition of another hunk into the mix, namely werewolf Alcide Herveaux (portrayed by Joe Manganiello) who will be adding to the sexual tension on the show.  As Alan explains:

“Take a look at Joe [Manganiello],” he teases of the hunk he cast as the psychic’s new love interest, the werewolf Alcide. “Do you think [they] have reason to be worried? We were looking for a guy who was big, sexy, decent and heroic, with some darkness,” he says. “And [Manganiello] showed us all of that in the audition.”

Alan was so confident in Joe‘s ability to convey the necessary attributes of the character that he didn’t ask him to do a chemistry test with Anna, which is normally done when there are several other actors who are vying for a role.

Alan mentions that although Alcide is not introduced to the audience at first as a potential suitor for Sookie, the circumstances that both characters find themselves in creates the dynamics for some sparks to fly between them.

“As in the book, he’s helping her find [her kidnapped boyfriend] Bill,” Ball notes, “and he has a business reason for owing Eric a favor” — one (bad) thing leads to an (incredibly sexy) other. “He’s there with her during a very painful time in her life — and his life, actually. And they’re thrown into some pretty intense situations together.”  “And hello, he’s hot!” he adds with a laugh. “And hello, so is she. Two hot people in some intense situations and, for whatever reasons, their significant others are not there… they’re human.”

Whether it is right or wrong that two people who are extremely attractive and facing stressful situations will fall into the arms of one another while their significant other is not around is up for debate, however it does make interesting television.

So how to do you feel about the introduction of another guy to heat up the screen with Sookie?  Are you happy about it or, as Michael says “should the show have spent a season exploring the Bill/Sookie/Eric triangle before making it a square?”

Let your comments be heard.

Hi! Everyone has an opinion so I hope that no one gets upset for me voicing mine, it’s just an opinion. Anyways, I have watched both seasons of true blood now, I am addicted, I can’t wait for the third. I am totally in love with bill and sookie together, no I haven’t read the books, but I don’t think that a friendship will suffice, he is totally in love with her, I mean look what he has been through for her. True, he has put her in situations, but not intentionally. I can see the love he has for her in his face, when he asked her if her answer was no, he looked so distraught, I almost cried, and I had a little anger for sookie for a second. She is really IN LOVE with him, and he is really IN LOVE with her. Plus he is so sexy, not just looks, but because of how he is with sookie. I pray that Alan Ball keeps them together, yes they have to have obstacles, but I hope that at the end of all the seasons, or sooner, there is a wedding, maybe a baby if that’s possible, for sookie and bill. If they don’t end up together, I have to be honest, I don’t think I will watch the show anymore, and I will be very disappointed. I am so happy that he asked her, and though it took her a minute, she said yes. So please let them stay together, like I said there has to be obstacles to make it interesting, but let them be just that “obstacles”, and nothing else. Thank you for reading my opinion, I hope that most TB fans agree so maybe mr. ball will listen and make it happen.

I have just completed all the sookie stackhouse books (and read the first ch of bk 10!). So I look forward to the differences in the next Trueblood season as much as the similarities, I already think that AB has improved on the (very enjoyable)source material. Tara and Lafayette are good examples of this as I love their characters and look forward to seeing more from them.

The introduction of Alcide and the trip to Dallas is essential though and I think it is more believable that Sookie is seeking out her kidnapped, potential fiancee(rather than someone whom abandoned her for his maker).

I agree with all the above comments that there is plenty of time to develop Eric and Sookies relationship – I hope there are enough seasons to do just that!

I think unconsummated chemistry works better to keep the tension going so I doubt Sookie will be getting fruity with Alcide (or Eric) too soon in S3. Sookies romantic journey is not the sole premise of the TV series which and I am very glad as that would make for a suppernatural version of ‘Peep Show’ (reference for British readers!).

i hope sookie and eric become a couple in season 3 because in my opion i think they make a better couple then bill and sookie do eric andsookie were made for each other.

Antonio

There seems to be a great deal of interest/curiosity when it comes to Sookie Stackhouse. Sookie has at least 3 suitors…At least up to this point in the show. Bill Compton,Sam Merlotte and Eric Northman. It seems that all of these guys are contending for her hand, her attention perhaps even her affection! Bill may very well be her “love of life” or maybe, perhaps the end of it?? Sam is protective and loyal and a good friend to her. I think that he really cares for her, too!
Eric Northman seems to be intrigued, fascinated by her. He wants her probably because he wants to understand her “gift” her talent..and yet he probably does feel Some desire for her,as well!
1 Young lady….3 Suitors Sounds almost like an episode of the Dating Game! LOL
Its obvious that each of these guys find her charming enchanting But which 1 will she end up with? At this point its Any1″ guess! LOL
BTW Just because 3 guys happen to be interested in her doesnt mean that she is interested in all of them!
I think that Bill Is her true love But just because that may be the case, Doesnt necessarily mean they will each be true To That love. People can be deeply in love and make poor choices or use wrong judgement Happens All the time!

Pam

I have to say that I have not read the books, though I am dying to. But I love my True Blood TV! My take, so far is that Bill (and most of the male population) have an interest in Sookie. She has an inexplicable way of drawing men to her, completely unintentional, but they are drawn just the same. For Sookie, Bill is her first love. Whether that lasts or not is part of the excitement. How many of us are with our first love? Eric is a necessary evil. I am so in love with Eric, but Sookie only feels the attraction to him because of his blood. Her dreams of herself with Eric-painting him in such a loving and compassionate light are just her subconscious’ way of justifying an attraction. She can’t love someone who doesn’t have some good qualities. I’m completely nervewrecked, excited, beside myself waiting for season 3. This new guy Al. . . What a curve ball! Can she hear him? We know she can’t hear Eric and Bill, but what of Al? Remember those of us who haven’t read the books. We don’t know all this. And yet I completely trust AB to lead me the right way.

    Sharon

I suggest you read the books. You will see another side to Eric. Yes he is the villan but the way I see it he is more like the Alfa who does what is necessary for himself to secure the best position for his area and those under his domain. Alan Ball is painting him a little differently – The villan is required for TV (which Eric’s character suits) and Eric is the one to fill it from the onset as those characters that truely fill the role don’t come into the story till later. These characters make Eric look like a prince. The dream sequence is showing another side to Eric which comes out in the books for Season 4.
Bill on the otherhand. Alan Ball does not appear to want to show a darker side of Bill (maybe for fear of losing female favour – I say bring it on!) which I think is unfortunate unless of course there is a twist in Season 3 that reveals the issue. What appears to be the storyline for Season 3 is that Sookie is the one that slips up but read the books they are food for thought & fun.

      Antonio

In the first few episodes of Season 1 Bill’s “dark” side Was shown! In the episode entitled “Mine” We Do get to see “bad-bill” and the darker more predatory side of him is revealed. When he says “Sookie Is Mine!” Well that kind of makes your skin crawl! Not to mention, In season 1 The “darker” side of Sam is Also explored! It Still creeps me out that scene where Sam puts latex gloves on and goes into Dawn Green’s room climbs up on her bed and smells her sheets and rolls around in them…After she is murdered!! Sick!
Jason Has a “bad” side as well His addiction to V and all his others “addictions”. If the female viewers havent lost favor with Bill After That episode then I suppose they have done their job pretty well over at TB.

        jaxx

Hi Antonio, I don’t think that we saw Sam’s bad side. I think he put on the gloves so the police wouldn’t pick up his fingerprints and he was rolling around in Dawn’s bed to pick up the scent of Dawn’s killer (like a dog would) to try to help solve the mystery and also to protect Sookie from whoever was killing these women, which did come into play at the end of Season 1.

Melissa0914

I don’t mind at all the introduction of this character… it works well in the books. The only thing I’m worried about is that they take out the incredibly sexual tension filled moments at the end for Sookie/Eric… it’s at the end of the book so I’m hoping they build that up for the two characters in the show…

But reading that Eric is supposed to have a new human love interest this season makes me nervous. WHY do that?! That’s not needed.

    Sharon

I totally agree. No need for Eric to have this Human. Eric gets what he needs when he needs. He is too old for meaningless affairs. The one that has his heart should be the only love interest in Eric’s life the rest should be sex and food even if repeat providers that would give opportunity for Alan Ball to show the caring side of Eric without being spineless.

    Antonio

Not necessary? Why Not? I tend to disagree. Eric Is a vampire…Ruthless, conniving, seductive, persuasive, manipulating He can be bad news especially if he is double crossed! Like Any Other vampire I would trust him about as far as i could throw him! Eric is Not accustomed to Not getting Whatever he wants When he Wants it!! Why shouldnt he desire the “companionship” of others? He Is a “player” of sorts, after all! Only Bill it seems is Monogamous!
In the show, anyway Eric seems too self involved to care about Any1 Other than himself! In other words Eric Is For….Eric!
    This is just MO

    jaxx

I think we should wait this one out. I have a feeling Yvetta is going to be more than a dancer and love interest for Eric at Fangtasia and without spoiling it for everyone, I think Yvetta will work her “magic” on Eric and lead us directly into Season 4.

As far as Alcide is concerned, I welcome him in the Sookie love game. Why not, he is in the books, has a continued interest in Sookie on and off even til present. She doesn’t have to sleep with Alcide to have a spark there. I am curious to see where this will go in AB’s world. Bill gone, Alcide helping to find Bill, Eric still around. I think there will be a lot of interest twists in store. Should be an interesting season.

MistressLace

Reading the books I think this coming season AB is right on track with the attraction between Sookie and Alcide I just hope also that he keeps the attraction between Eric and Sookie increasing towards the end of the season like the books theres just somthing about the Eric Sookie attraction thats seductive & inticing and keeps me coming back for more of the books and HBO series I believe it does need to build slowly for the outcome to be more on target to the books as in any great love affair the slower the better keep up the great work AB

Miladyryts

I would very much love for AB to follow the books closer than what he has, but CH said in the very beginning that she like his vision for her books for his tv series. That being said, I am wondering how she feels about his vision now. Book 1, Bill was to introduce himself, or as he put it, to put himself in her path, by edict from the Queen. He was to seduce her and find out what powers she possessed. He introduced her to sex and the vampire world. That initial Book was the building blocks for the romance between Sookie and Eric. Eric is one thousand years old and up until he met Sookie, has been without a “Lifemate” or his “Beloved.” The series has been on tv for now going on 3 seasons. The books that the majority of us have read have been out for ten years! We wait for the release of each book one year at a time. As I said, it has always been about Sookie and Eric. She has had Eric’s blood over 9 times and he has had hers. Book 9, after the fae war, Eric tells her great grandfather prince, that his great grandaughter is his woman, his and his alone. When she would have died from her wounds, he saved her life. So, I’m sorry, this bit about a proposal from Bill just is too weird. I wish C. Harris would just sign over the movie rights to a good producer and let that person have a go at the books, AB can do his raunchy sex, gay, straight and bi, and everyone would be happy. Because with all of the characters that he is supposed to have in Season 3, and almost all of them are sexual, where the hell is the story? Last Season was all about Maryann, who in the books didn’t have a really big part, lol. The Queen was laughable, she was supposed to be 16 years old and never without Andre and the twin warriors, her children/lovers. But she also loved Hadley (not Daisy Duke, lol)
Oh well, ranted enough. Just have to wait and see about the series.

jess

I think AB will keep the Alcide/Sookie attraction as innocent as he did the Eric/Sookie attraction (okay not so innocent, but I don’t think they will be intimate). What is keeping me on my toes about season 3 is finding out what Sookie’s powers are and exactly what she is. I know she supposedly a fairy or something. I have read the books up to number 5 but don’t recall anything about it. Also, I know this is gonna hurt all you Eric/Sookie and Bill/Sookie fans out there but the end of the Club Dead book is priceless. Where Sookie rescends both Eric’s and Bill’s invitation into her home. Imagine that on the big screen as a closer for season 3.

    Sharon

I hope the Alcide/Sookie relationship remains innocent and that there is a platform for her to compare what she knows with what Alcide has to offer, this will keep the whole sexual tension going and hopefully AB follows the books closely to show that as much as we/I loved Alcide in book 3 there is an immature side to him which shows he is not ready (right) for Sookie. Maybe in book 10/11 afterall there is still my favorite
Quinn to get on the scene. I can’t wait to see what AB has in store for Quinn and Eric. I think Quinn(living) and Eric(vampire)have the true right to Sookie. Can she have them both?

Traci

I am so looking forward to this season, but agree with an earlier post about the basic premise of the show. There was a breakup and then Bill went missing. She was vulnerable and did not want to face even further rejection by Bill and that is why she was “drawn” to Alcide. It should be interesting as long as we don’t have an overdone – pointless storyline like Maryanne. I have been waiting for Alcide since I read book three and could not put my finger on who I wanted to play the character. I think that the casting choice was FABULOUS. As far as chemistry, so far it has been great with all the cast members. They are professionals and I think AB is smart enough to know if it will work.

Marilyn

I am really looking forward to Season 3. I was thinking that perhaps Alan Ball is still following the story line somewhat and infidelidy is what will cause the breakup between Bill and Sookie but in Alan Ball’s world Sookie is the one who does the cheating. To me this would make it easier to put them back together as a couple or friends in the end however, they would need to forgive each other (Sookie for cheating and Bill for his initial arrangement with the Queen) and would be on more equal footing emotionally. I am also wondering if Bill and Eric will be able to sense her attraction to Alcide. I think Sookie may need to play the field a bit before she is ready to settle down, she really does not even know who or what she is yet and with all the crap she has been through she is bound to be a bit unstable at this point. It’s going to be interesting.

Val

WELL WE KNOW IF HE FOLLOWS THE BOOKS,ALCIDE AND SOOKIE DON’T BECOME INTIMATE. AB HAS ALREADY SHOWN THAT THE BOOKS ARE JUST A GUIDE-THAT MEANS ,OF COURSE,THAT ANYTHING AND ANY COMBO IS POSSIBLE! I LOVE THE SUSPENSE!!!!

Sheila

I think that Alcide comming into the picture is an awesome thing, and I hope for what it’s worth that AB goes beyond what I know about the story line. I think to give Eric some competiton would do him some good. Yes, I know that Sookie is engaged to Bill, but I do see her being tempted in her time of loneliness, she let us see that in Season 1 when Bill was away at his trial, having to turn Jessica. So the possibility exsists for weakness, and we have already been told that their love will be tested, I can definitely see Sookie keeping company with Alcide, and of course not to be out done by anyone, Eric will find a way to be there of course to be seen as the hero waiting ever so patiently. Yay!

txophelia

Okay, MY problem with the way it appears they’ll introduce Alcide in season 3, is that in the books, Sookie goes to look for Bill to rescue him even though he has LEFT HER and gone with his maker, Lorena. She does this out of respect for their past relationship & her love for him, even though she is incredibly hurt and crushed by his betrayal. This is typical Sookie Stackhouse behavior.

In the HBO show, Bill does not betray her–quite the opposite! He is kidnapped after he has proposed to her! So I’m curious to see how Alan Ball and the writers will write this “anger” Sookie should have into the script. One of the reasons she is even OPEN to Alcide is because Bill has left her and she’s officially “back on the market.” Alcide is there at the RIGHT time, right place, being his warm, sweet, protective self.
It is NOT in Sookie’s personality to just be attracted to another man because he’s beautiful, as Alan Ball is suggesting in this interview! After all, look at the way the show (& the books) have developed her attraction to Eric. He had to TRICK her into ingesting his blood before she would even CONSIDER him an attractive male.

It’s all a bit controversial. I hope they’re careful with her character development. The fans won’t like it if she goes off to search for her LOVE & BOYFRIEND, Bill, and just happens to be attracted to Alcide. It doesn’t make sense.
I can’t wait for season 3! I just pray they honor Sookie’s character in the show. She’s the epitome of MONOGAMOUS.

    billsgurl

I am with you….Sookie is off looking for her love…I really hope they don’t stick her in the sack with anyone…..And as far as a Sookie…Eric hookup..why?????? She would be dead if it was up to him…the show is different from your books….please…please..let’s keep it that way….PLEASE…PLEASE…PLEASE….I will be broken hearted if they split up Bill and Sookie and that is the truth….

      Sharon

Sorry Girl, Bill is not so innocent – like males in real life he has flaws. He should be leaving Sookie because he has gone back to his maker (who was really his first love as a vampire – rare in the vampire world and not encouraged) AB has developed a storyline that suggests Bill never loved Lorena but he did for 50yrs – however the books did not give a reason why they are no longer together.

        Antonio

This Is a Very good point! Valid and intelligent, too!
IF Bill felt No love for Lorena then How could he remain with her for So long?? In the Ep. entitled “Hard hearted hannah” A good one by the way, It seems that he Did care for her! He “drained” people right along With Her He robbed, attacked and utilized people for food as well as entertaiment. He gave her the necklace she so admired off of that woman’s neck!
Apparently,it seems that he Did enjoy living this “life” with her! Sharon brings up a good point!! It’s patently obvious that Lorena was his 1st “Vampire love”.
I agree, for AB to imply that Bill “Never” loved her OR felt Any thing For her makes little sense!

          Isis Nocturne

Antonio… I think compulsion could also have something to do with Bill’s staying with Lorena. It’s a possibility too. After all, aren’t we all always told to “make the best of a bad situation”?

    Lizzie 1701

Completely agree txophelia. My sentiments exactly. I just keep on thinking about previous comments by AB where he says it will be a romance story about Bill and Sookie, two “misfits” who find love and that it will be like trials and tribulations for both of them to discover true love and complete trust in each other. Also, I read or heard an interview with SM who said that HBO want Sookie to be virtuous and not have multiple lovers like she did in the book, so they want her with the one man. Hopefully AB will follow his original plan for the show and just put obstacles in the way! Oh the pain! The pain! Can’t wait til June!!! I believe in AB!!!

      Sharon

Sookie didn’t have multiple lovers in the books she only had 3 and one of them was wedged out (Quinn). Sookie had multiple suitors Yes but not lovers. Suitors, Sam which is who she used to have the dream sequences of, Bill, Alcide, Eric, Calvin & Quinn and in that order.

    Isis Nocturne

I like the way you talked about Sookie. I agree that she’s much more of a character I can respect in the show! Thanks for sharing your opinion!

TBLVR

Alcide & Sookie have chemistry and sparks fly, I doubt they will be “Intimate” all the way.
I think season 3 is too soon for the “Hookup” of Eric and Sookie also, but I hope the show will play out the sexual angst and humor that transpires between Eric & Sookie in the third book, leading up to the fourth season. Depending on the “Circumstances” of Bill’s kidnapping, I think it would be unwise to have Sookie be MORE than just *friendly* with Alcide. She must remain likeable and many Bill fans wouldnt appreciate her making out with someone while Bill is missing. Like I said tho, it depends on how the writers explain Bill’s
kidnapping and how much Sookie knows about it.imo 🙂

Antonio

I wonder about something. Now that Bill has been abducted Sookie will be left without his protection. Think about it for a moment.. When Sookie Is in trouble,Bill will sense it and this time he will not be able to go to her and help her as he has done. Now Sookie had Eric’s blood, Will he also be able to sense when she is in trouble? Can he/would he want to help her?
Now that Bill is gone from her Will their love survive? Will this test make their love stronger or will it take them further apart? Will Eric take advantage of the fact that Bill no longer stands between him and his desire for Sookie? He is intrigued by her He wants her for…Something ~~Who knows what that is?
Will we learn more about Bill’s past in the new upcoming season’s? Surely he had other lovers/victims beside Lorena!
What of Eric? he must have had many lovers many victims were all of his lovers female? were all his victims?
In S1 ep.3 Mine Bill is encouraged to feed off of a glamored male…He would do this even in front of Sookie! This seems to be a bit indiscreet not to mention unwise Hep D and what not!
Would he have passed the hep d on to Sookie if he bit her after feeding on the guy?
The point here regarding the romance of Bill/Sookie is that for the time being he is out of her life. That leaves her open to Eric’s powerful persuasion shall we say (she cant be glamored by Eric either) Eric is not accustomed to not getting what he wants! Alcide will be thrown into the mix also.
The question is Not So much will She desire them Its will They desire Her!! Even If Sookie tells Eric to his face that she hates him(which she did a few times in S2 even after he help save her life) That doesnt mean that He will cease pursuing Her!
As for Sam,True he may be busy dealing with family and whatnot and i’m sure the Were’s will give him a hard time(Weres are Notoriously territorial) But perhaps All of this will just intensify his longing for Sookie?
Simple math here Sookie- Bill=Sookie by herself
If Alcide takes an interest in her will Debbie Pelt make life miserable for her??
Looking at the romance? Without Bill There Is No romance plain and simple! IMHO anyway

cox

I wish Alan had done a chemistry screen test. I may be the only person on the planet who does think the Actor playing Alcide is attractive. I can’t see the chemistry between him and Anna Paquin. I hope I am wrong.

Amy

I think book 3 (Club Dead) was the turning point when Eric started to fall for Sookie. To see this unfold on screen would be so much fun. Hopefully Alan Ball includes this in S3. Especially with Alcide in the picture now, these growing feelings will be stronger since Eric loves a challenge and is a total alpha male. Btw, I think Joe is a great choice for the role of Alcide. Bring on the drama. I trust Alan Ball and whatever he decides to do I’m sure it’ll be great. It’s finally 2010…the countdown continues.

Oh and this is random but I was wondering why is there hot sauce on Eric’s desk? Do vampires like their blood spicy? haha

    Betty

I wondered about the hot sauce myself, and the Southern Comfort!
HaHa! There are some things that happen in book 3 that brings Eric to Sookie`s side, and Alcide wasn`t there when he should have been. The attraction between Eric and Sookie definitely grows and he even admits to having feelings for her. I don`t see Eric getting on his knees an admitting his undying love for Sookie, but he could definitely have feelings for her. On the show, it is as if he is just observing Bill`s actions toward Sookie and taking notes, biding his time. I wonder if he will tell her he loves her in book 10. I feel as though he does, but just doesn`t say so for some reason. Yet he has asked Sookie more than once if she loves him. The relationship between Sookie and Eric does need to build slowly on the show. I can`t wait to see what season 3 has in store for us!

isabella

I love Eric. He is astonishing and a babe, and has all the adorable expressions. And I hope that one day he real loves Sookie. But I don’t believe he loves her now.

I believe Eric has a thing for Sookie. He desires her. He is not use to not getting what he wants. Eric lied to Sookie when he told her that the bullets would kill him, and that lie has a big consequence: She had is blood, “I’m part of her now”.

Perhaps in time Eric will be in love with her. Perhaps in time Eric will be “fiercely loyal and protective about Sookie”. Perhaps in time he falls apart at the sight of losing Sookie, and fell to his knees crying and begging to beg for her to stay with him.

Godric died show us that Eric is not all about killing and making money. Godric died show us that Eric loves someone enough to be willing to sacrifice his own life. In the show Sookie is not the most important person in Eric’s life. It is Godric.

Perhaps one day he real loves her like he loves Godric. I want that and I believe Godric would like that too. He asks Sookie to watch out for Eric.

In the books when Eric is introduced, the story becomes Sookie/Eric love story. But the show is different; in the show Sookie loves Bill and doesn’t like Eric. He only becomes irresistible to her when he manipulated her into a blood bond.
Perhaps in time Sookie will be in love with Eric. I would like that.

Perhaps in time Sookie will be in love with Alcides. Sookie and Alcide actually have some scenes in book 3.
Alan Ball can do what he wants to do. I know I want to see where they go with this great story and amazing characters.

Ricki

I don’t like it but it follows the books progression and we knew that might be coming. I love the Bill/Sookie storyline and hope it comes back in the end unlike the books so far. In the end of the last book it looked hopeful at least that they might be back together but who knows what will happen, I will be watching regardless.

    Mony

I think he will follows the books, I mean he said that, but he has so much potential in 9 books actually that he can use whetever he wants, i guess it’s good…becosue books are great….who know about the end…..i think Sookie and Bill will be very good friends at the end….i don’t see the love back agani just becosue she is in love eith another one, and Bill supposed to die in book 9 and Harris knows who Sookie will end from books and never changed her main, as she always said….
I like Bill…I really hoep for him a very happy ending, and after the bad thing that he passed through i guess a very strong friendship is a good thing…

Btw….Ball could change averything and give us another good finale, you know?it’ pretty a good thing for me….^^
I know it’s Off Topic…i zip up my mouth!!!!!

Mony

That sounds sooooo good!!!!
I mean Sookie and Alcide actually have some scenes in book 3 so Ball is going in that direction and i’m happy about that ‘couse to much “Triangle Drama” would be very boring at the end…..
However ther will be a triangle but is Eric/Sookie and Alcide not becouse i’m against Bill but simply becouse he’s missing for almost 6 episodes, is not with her so no reason for a square but for another traingle…actually a really hot one!!!!!
So excited about that….i think Ball is a genious….he’s following the book and that so good, but with new elements and i guess for this reason S3 will be defenitly great!!!!!!

    jay

I totally agree with you! He is a genious… That also crossed my mind, I thought wait a second this is more like a eric/sookie/alcide triangle because bill is absent. (Poor bill). We may find that eric is in situations where he would prefer sookie be with bill than being with a werewolf! Thats kind of odd considering the tension between the first love triangle eric/sookie/bill. We may find by the end of the season, when sookie does find bill, that bill and eric will join forces against coot and his biker gang! I cant wait for that! I loved in the books, how they seemed like they made a good team when protecting sookie! I cant wait for season 3!!
