VIDEO: True Blood Season 3 Finale Party in Greensboro, NC Recap

As we know, HBO and Time Warner Cable hosted a special viewing party for the Season 3 finale of True Blood in Greensboro, NC (because Greensboro is the #1 viewing market for True Blood). HBO and Time Warner Reward No. #1 True Blood Fans

HBO and Time Warner Cable Reward True Blood Viewers

A Party That Fangbangers Would Envy:

If you weren’t one of the 1,100 people who watched the season three finale of True Blood along with the largest viewing audience and several cast members of the show, then blame your neighbors.  That’s right, Greensboro, N.C. was rewarded by HBO and Time Warner Cable Company last night.  Greensboro ranks number one in ratings for the HBO hit series, True Blood, more than anywhere else in the nation.

On hand to help Truebies celebrate in style were Kristin Bauer van Straten, who stars as the seductively lethal vampire, Pam. Todd Lowe, who portrays a gentle-giant, Iraqi war veteran suffering from PSTD, Terry Bellefleur. And season three newcomer, Kevin Alejandro. Kevin plays Jesus Velasquez, who we just learned in last night’s finale, is a male witch, also known as a Brujo.

The three cast members took pictures and signed autographs with costumed fans that had waited for hours to get a fix of their greatest addiction. Later they participated in a question and answer session. All three celebrities said it felt great to be able to give back to the fans that have helped to make True Blood the success that it is today.  Todd Lowe joked that he knew why more people watch the show in Greensboro than any other place, “It’s because sexy, intelligent people tend to congregate in central North Carolina,” he laughingly teased a reporter.

So, the gauntlet’s been thrown down. Will you let Greensboro be number one again next year? Get out there and show your neighbors just what they’ve been missing and maybe next season you’ll be the one claiming the number one viewer’s bragging rights.

True Blood’s Kevin Alejandro Dishes On His Mysterious Character

Kevin Alejandro True Blood JesusKevin Alejandro Shedding Some Light on his Character

When fans first met Jesus, Lafayette’s season 3 love interest on True Blood, they knew that there was something more behind his sweet smile and good intentions. Kevin Alejandro, who plays the mysterious man Lafayette has fallen for, confirms fans’ suspicions.

Kevin is quick to say that there is something up with Jesus and it was uncovered on the season finale, which aired Sunday September 12 at 9 on HBO. About the season finale, all Kevin said was,

“I was very surprised, and it’s really awesome what I get to do…It’s actually going to be a really great finale…There are a lot of stories that get wrapped up and some new ones that get introduced.”

Before landing the part of Jesus, the Texas native and his wife were big fans of the show. He was quite awed by working with so many great actors. As for playing a gay character, Kevin noted,

“We all do this because we want to do something outside ourselves and be part of something bigger than us and something great. ‘True Blood,’ it’s an amazing show.”

Another perk about working on the hit series is learning from his fellow actors. He says he has learned so much from Nelsan Ellis, who portrays Lafayette, by simply watching him at work.

The 34 year old will return to True Blood for the season four as well as continue his role as Detective Nate Moretta on TNT’s Southland when they start up their 3rd season next year. This fall he’ll also be filming the newest Kevin Smith film titled, Red State.

Kevin, who has had roles in Ugly Betty and Weeds, appreciates the fans he has gained through his acting career. He noted,

“This is probably one of the biggest things I’ve ever been able to be part of, and it’s been pretty amazing for me…I’m not jaded by it. I’m new to it. It really puts a smile on my face. Every day I’ve had somebody be really kind and appreciative of the things we’re doing (on the show), and personally I love it. I think it’s really cool that a person like me, coming from a small West Texas town, can have an impact on somebody.”

Fans hope Kevin keeps this positivity for years to come because they all love seeing him on TV and wish him only the best!

True Blood’s Kevin Alejandro Hints At Season Finale

Kevin Alejandro True Blood jesusThough everyone working on True Blood knows not to spill any finale secrets, especially days away from the Season Finale this Sunday at 9, MTV was able to score some hints and clues from the cast at the recent Emmy’s party hosted by HBO.

Kevin Alejandro, who plays Lafayette‘s love interest Jesus, revealed that his character has some big moments on the Sept 12 end to season 3. He notes,

“You actually find out what kind of person I am…”[I did] a lot of research to figure out how to go this route, but it’s good stuff. I think you’ll be really impressed and surprised.”

Fans of Jesus and Lafayette’s relationship, Kevin doesn’t know what’s going to happen, but he does know that with every relationship there are sparks and with every relationship in Bon Temps there are explosions!

True Blood Cast Share Season Finale Spoilers

True Blood Cast, True BloodThe Season 3 finale of True Blood is getting closer and closer, and several actors on the show are giving fans very small “spoilers” to amp up the anticipation for the finale even more.

Joe Manganiello said that there will be lots of sex, blood, and death. However, when asked about whether Alcide‘s ex-fiancee, Debbie Pelt, would survive, Joe suggested that someone ask Alan Ball that question.

Nelsan Ellis simply said that the True Blood Season 3 Finale will have “a lot of blood and bite.”

Kevin Alejandro gave a slightly more in depth tease. He said that we’ll finally learn more about his character, Jesus, and what kind of person he really is.

Kristin Bauer van Straten also told us a little bit about Pam. She claims that Pam will be in “an emotional and physical battle” in order to save Eric. Kristin also teased that “there are some twists and turns that happen. It’s really clever.”

Todd Lowe revealed that we may see Terry Bellefleur shed some tears and the story behind them.

Marshall Allman very succinctly said that Tommy will be giving Sam a run for his money.

When Stephen Moyer and Anna Paquin were asked about spoilers, both were incredibly vague. Stephen said that Bill and Eric have some great moments, and Anna merely shared that “lots of stuff happens.”

Though Jim Parrack said nothing about what’s going to happen with Hoyt, he did say that the Season 3 finale is going to be even wilder and crazier than the Season 2 finale.

Though these tidbits say very little apart, together they point to a fact that Truebies have known for a long time: the True Blood Season 3 finale is going to be crazy, and we can’t wait to see it!

True Blood Season 4 Spoiler News and Season Finale

Sam Trammell True Blood Sam Merlotte in troubleAs fans anxiously wait for the season finale of True Blood set it air on Sunday, September 12, 2010 on HBO, spoiler news is being filtered out not only about the season finale but what we can expect to see for Season 4. Here are some spoiler scoop from various sources as they try to answer some fan questions. First from E!Online:

Benedict in New Orleans: True Blood please! Finale scoop!
I’m starting to get very frightened for our dear Sook (Anna Paquin). Something tells me Denis O’Hare’s promise that he’ll be “weeping tears of joy” may have to do with him walking in sunlight, and I’m also hearing Russell probably won’t be offed. Danger, danger, danger.

Jalya in Kahala, Hawaii: Aw! I cannot believe the way Sam’s acting on True Blood. Tell me it isn’t permanent, please!
Sorry kiddies, but Sam Trammell tells me Sam’s not-so-pleasant adventures are just beginning and will extend far into True Blood’s fourth season. “I know one thing that’s going to happen with Sam [next year], which is taking it to a new level. It’s very cool.” The gang doesn’t even start shooting until November, so get ready for a long and painful off season. Sigh!

TV Guide Magazine gives us so more information regarding what we are going to see for Lafayette (Nelsan Ellis), Alcide Herveaux (Joe Manganiello), Pam (Kristin Bauer van Straten), Holly Cleary (Lauren Bowles), and Jesus (Kevin Alejandro) in the season finale and a glimpse into season 4.

“Nelsan Ellis (Lafayette) told TV Guide Magazine, saying we’ll find out why he and Jesus are so “spiritually connected.” Joe Manganiello promised, “Alcide will be back before the season’s up to take care of some unfinished business,” and Kristin Bauer said that vampire Pam will “do anything to save her maker [Eric].”

Sam Trammell (Sam Merlotte) says “somebody in Sam’s camp is in big trouble,” but wouldn’t specify if that someone is little brother Tommy. “This season leaves everyone with a bunch of cliffhangers, especially with my storyline. There’s something very serious, very hardcore that happens.”

Joe states that “[Creator] Alan [Ball] and the writers are busy writing Season 4 right now, so I’m dying to find out what happens,” he said. And Lauren Bowles (wiccan Holly) promised, “You will be seeing me a lot next season. As Alan has announced, next year is the year of the witch.”

“What they’ve written, there’s a lot of sparks going on,” says Kevin Alejandro. “Whatever happens next season should be pretty explosive.”

Kevin Alejandro to Play Another Love Interest

Kevin Alejandro has been adding extra “hotness” to an all ready hot cast and if sources are correct, than he will be joining the cast of Parenthood on NBC. Kevin is slated to play a love interest to Sara, who is played by Laura Graham. This casting is said to last for multiple episodes. Apparently, unlike in True Blood where Lafayette has fallen almost immediately smitten with him, Kevin will have to fight for Sara’s attention from Billy Baldwin, who is also  reported to play a love interest to Sara.

Alejandro’s character, Mike, is described as a blue-collar type who works in the warehouse at Adam’s company—where Sarah is now employed as well. The added wrinkle? Baldwin’s character works there, too as Adam’s boss.”

True Blood fans have really enjoyed Kevin‘s character with Lafayette and most can’t wait to see what’s next with the two of them. See the next episode of True Blood on Sunday only on HBO to see what happens!

Kevin Alejandro Says Jesus is Definitely Something

Kevin Alejandro is one of True Blood‘s Season 3 newbies.  He plays Jesus, a care giver in a nursing home where he cares for Lafayette‘s (Nelsan Ellis) senile mother, played by Alfre Woodard.

It’s in this nursing home where Jesus meets Lafayette and the attraction is quite obvious.

“We meet and there are sparks”, says Alejandro.  “I didn’t want people to second guess that this could be a real relationship.  Nelsan and I have incredible chemistry.  Everything we do is very real.”

In an article for Out Magazine, Kevin explained that the relationship between Jesus and Lafayette is a good balance.  “They’re opposites but it works.”

Being that there are so many new vampires and werewolves this season, Kevin would not say if Jesus is a human or supernatural.  All he would reveal is that Jesus is “something”.

The article mentions that this season is very “homoerotic”.  In addition to the relationship between Jesus and Lafayette, with vampire Bill‘s blood in him, Sam Merlotte (Sam Trammell) has fantasy dreams of Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer).  Kevin said it’s an incredibly sexy season.

Interestingly, though, the pressure for Kevin is not in playing a gay man (he is married with a daughter), but in staying fit to look good next to Ryan Kwanten, who plays Jason StackhouseRyan is often without some piece of clothing, and Kevin said he “is built like the perfect dude”.

“You get next to someone like that and you think, Crap, I really have a lot of work to do.  I’m like, ‘Please, whatever you do, don’t put me in a scene with my shirt off next to this dude’.”

Something tells me the female fans of True Blood really don’t mind one bit!

Kevin Alejandro Talks about True Blood

Kevin Alejandro is a new cast member in Season 3 of HBO’s True Blood. He has been cast to play Layfette’s new love interest. In a recent article with AfterElton.com, he was asked about the casting process of the new character Jesus. Kevin said that it was quite a long process for him, where he had to audition many times and then do an audition with Nelsan Ellis, (Layfette) to see if there was chemistry between the two of them. There must have been because according to Kevin he has been in 9 out of the eleven episodes that were shot so far. He said that he started out as a walk on and now has been cast as a regular. Kevin said that he wanted to play Jesus on True Blood because,

“Well, the fact that I hadn’t done that yet. You know, you see a little hint here and there, you know, like in Melrose Place, there’s a hint of gay. You know, with the hustler there was a different kind of … like, an edgier guy. I’m not trying to give too much away about my True Blood character, but it was just different. And all these actors are so great and to play opposite of Nelsan was a really big factor in our decision as well because he’s such a solid actor. And that’s what I love to do, I love to work with good people and it’s just the whole formula. Alan Ball, being part of his company, his name has class and I want to be part of projects that are that way. So there’s a whole lot of things that went into it, into the decision. There’s so much that happens to Jesus and there’s a really nice arc that this character goes through. It’s one of my most challenging roles. You’ll see why, once it starts coming out. We’ll do another one of these and you’ll be, like, “Ah! I get it!”

While he is very tight lipped about what happens between his character and Layfette, he does say that he meets Layfette because he is taking care of his ill mother in the hospital and there is a definite and almost immediate connection between the two of them. Kevin, also states that it is hard and intimidating to do a show like True Blood that has such a fan base and such brilliant actors. He says there are definitely long hours, but with a show that is like True Blood there has to be fun involved. Recently, Kevin was involved in Cyndi Lauper’s Give a Damn Campaign, which speaks out against gay voilence.

“I was actually asked if I would do it and without a second thought I said absolutely. It sort of just came up. You know, I have a lot of gay friends and people who deal with these kind of issues, and so it’s very close to my life and part of the world that I’m in. I was so honored that I could be part of something like that. “

We can’t wait to see Kevin in Season 3 of True Blood.
