True Blood Season 7: Trailer #2 – Still No Eric Northman

HBO Teaser Video Shows Plenty of Bill Compton, But Eric is Still Elusive:

Alexander Skarsgard stars (hopefully) as Eric Northman in HBO's True blood Season 7Well, HBO released the second official trailer video for True Blood Season 7 – and, yep, there’s still not a single sighting of Eric Northman (played by Alexander Skarsgard). They have upped the level of Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer) appearances though and we’re not really sure what that all means yet.

This doesn’t mean the trailer video is boring though – quite the opposite in fact! There is PLENTY of action occurring from the very first second, right up until the close at 55 seconds. Here’s a quick break down for you:

  • Sookie (Anna Paquin) seems to think she is the only person in town who knows so much about vampires and then concludes that a war has erupted.
  • Speaking of wars, it seems there will be a battle between who will win Sookie over in the end.
  • There is a whole bunch of happy shots – and this would indicate that something bad is probably just around the corner…
  • Pam (Kristin Bayer van Straten) appears in brief snippets that give away absolutely nothing.
  • A blonde woman is apparently being taken against her will – is it Ginger (Tara Buck) perhaps?
  • Sam Merlotte (Sam Trammell) is eager to let people know that he belongs ‘here’ – just where ‘here’ is though could be anyone’s guess.
  • That bit where we saw all happy scenes, yeah, I was right, it all goes down the crapper towards the end of this trailer with people being bitten and the Bellefleur’s looking like a bomb zone.
  • There is a bomb exploding in front of Bill at what could possibly be Fangtasia.
  • Bill tells Sookie that there will be some sort of a decent, and, as a result, ‘they’ will be greatly outnumbered. On what, who or where, we don’t know yet. It does seem that Bill is trying to make up his behavior towards Sookie in Season 6 here though…

Arliss Howard “Governor Truman Burrell”

As the countdown continues to the June 16 premiere of HBO’s hit True Blood, a new trailer has just been released!  It is sad to report that the outlook for our friendly neighbourhood vamps isn’t looking so good.

The trailer focuses on Governor Burrell’s address to the citizens of Bon Temps, declaring war against all vampires in an effort for the humans to take back their state!

The build up to Season 6 has been by far the best compared to all other seasons! I think the we are in for quite the ride in Season 6!

For those of you who want to support “Team Vamps” HBO is promoting #SHOWYOURFANGS, check it out and show your fangs!

HBO a Two-Time Tease with True Blood Season 5 Trailer

More Revealed with Second Trailer for Season 5:

Bill, Eric, Nora season5A second trailer for True Blood’s Season 5 was released by HBO. This one runs a minute, twenty-two seconds and, where the first trailer focused on potential conflict with the Vampire Authority, this one sets the scene for the return of Russell Edgington.

Initial narration for the trailer is dialog from Lafayette (Nelsan Ellis) as he confronts Sookie (Anna Paquin) with the reality that death seems to follow her, despite her attempts to avoid it. Dialog voiceover accompanies subsequent scenes of newly-rescued Russell Edgington (Denis O’Hare) being hidden as he heals. Alcide (Joe Manganiello), still acting as Sookie’s protector, tells her of Eric and Bill’s deception.

If the Vampire Authority isn’t enough to reunite Sookie with her vampire suitors, Russell’s reappearance seems to be. With Russell apparently coming for her, Sookie is forced to team up with Eric Northman (Alex Skarsgård) and Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer), apparently against her wishes.

Fans are still left wondering what has become of Tara. A second question this trailer leaves everyone asking; who freed Russell from the concrete? This very question seems to have created a rift between Eric and Pam (Kristin Bauer van Straten). Does Eric truly believe Pam would betray him?

There’s Something Going On With Jason, Andy and Reverend Steve

This second trailer makes it seem as though Jason Stackhouse (Ryan Kwanten) and Andy Bellefleur (Chris Bauer) have had all they can take of vampires. With Steve Newlin (Michael McMillian) in the picture once again, will he keep the Bon Temps police occupied? Or will they set their sights on Bill and Eric? Or worse, yet — Jessica.

What questions does the trailer leave you asking? Is that possibly Jesus we see? What kind of trouble is Sam in, now? The white finger-light is back. Can Sookie control it now?

What do YOU think? Share your theories in the comments section below.

Video: Inside the Authority Featuring Christopher Meloni

Season 5 Preview, “Vampyr”:

Meloni as RomanA trailer for the fifth season of HBO’s True Blood gives us a 57 second preview of what is to come this season. While the preview doesn’t reveal a whole lot, what we do know is that we are going to get to know more about The Authority and the history of vampires. The preview is dedicated to showcasing a number of individuals in robes while one speaks in a foreign/unknown language, possibly Aramaic. What appears to be the head of the group of vampires -new castmate Christopher Meloni as Roman– slices open his wrist and allows a sacrifice of some sort to ingest a single drop of blood while vampires circle around them, attempting to restrain themselves from gorging on the fresh blood.

True Blood returns on June 10 at 9pm on HBO. Don’t forget to tune in Truebies!

Video: HBO Keeps True Blood Fans Eager For Season 5 with Teaser Clips

Waiting Sucks and HBO Keeps Fans Wanting More:

Season 5 poster RomanEarly in the life of its series True Blood, HBO hit upon the simple but clever tag line of ‘Waiting Sucks’. Now, as anticipation over the June 10th premiere of Season 5 grows, fans find that they ‘Crave More’. HBO has fueled the excitement with titillating teaser videos; some provide glimpses behind the scenes, while others are simply humorous promotion.

Two recently released teasers provide peeks into two separate story lines. Both videos give hints as to what to expect from characters and plot, while still managing to raise additional questions that make fans eager to tune in to the show.

One of these two recent videos features Sam (Sam Trammell) and Luna (Janina Gavankar). Sitting on a sofa, Luna cries while Sam tries to lend comfort. The dialog tells fans that someone has died mysteriously. An unexpected, unidentified sound captures their attention just as the scene ends on a menacing note. Who died? How did they die? Are Sam and Luna in danger, too? What was that sound?

What do you think?

Another recent teaser video has Terry (Todd Lowe) and Patrick (Scott Foley) being held at gunpoint and handcuffed. They know this person, but fans don’t – yet. The scene ends with the unknown character asking if anything had followed them there. Who is the new character? Why is he cuffing Patrick and Terry? What is it that might have followed them?

Any guesses?

HBO also uses humor in its teaser videos. ‘Don’t Cry, It’s Back’ uses bloody tears and scenes of character anguish to promote Season 5. The video is a montage of True Blood characters crying. The clips are assembled in a way that makes it seem they are sad over the lack of new True Blood episodes.

Which one is your favorite?

Video: HBO’s True Blood Trailer Sets Stage For Season 5

Favorite Characters Are Back and New Ones Are Arriving:

Eric Season 5 PosterHBO has released a full minute and a half long trailer for Season 5 of its series, True Blood. Through a combination of scenes from upcoming episodes and character voice over, it provides the major story arc fans will be following this year, and still manages to ask more compelling questions about what is to come.

For better or worse, Eric Northman (Alexander Skarsgård) and Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer) have joined forces, but remain on bad terms with Sookie (Anna Paquin). The two vampires find themselves in the middle of a battle between the newly freed Russell Edgington (Denis O’Hare), and the previously unseen Vampire Authority, fronted by Roman (Chris Meloni). Steve Newlin (Michael McMillian) is back, and appears to be advocating for the cultivation of humans for vampire consumption. It looks like Jason Stackhouse (Ryan Kwanten) will have something to say about that.

Vampires, Werewolves, Old Acquaintances and Flashbacks

The HBO trailer for True Blood’s Season 5 contains brief scenes of Eric Northman in period clothing. That means fans will be getting flashbacks and back story! Alcide Herveaux (Joe Manganiello) is back, once again looking out for Sookie. There is a brief scene of Eric and his progeny, Pam (Kristin Bauer Van Straten) in bed together. Is it a current scene or a flashback to the time of her turning?

Still, the biggest question that needs to be answered is asked in the very first scene of the trailer: What becomes of Tara Thornton (Rutina Wesley)?

Take a look for yourself! What do you think is in store for Season 5? What burning question do you want to have answered?

Video: True Blood’s Christopher Meloni Vamps it up as Roman the Vampire

True Blood’s Christopher Meloni Spills on His Role:

Christopher Meloni as True Blood's RomanWhat with the steadily approaching arrival of True Blood‘s fifth season premiere on June 10, HBO has been releasing clips and images featuring the former Law & Order: Special Victims Unit star. Christopher Meloni, shown impeccably dressed in a suit, will be playing the authoritative, 500-year-old vampire Roman.

Although few details have been revealed about the vampire’s status between the good guys and the bad guys, Meloni says Roman is a “man with an agenda,” and was able to “smack around (Alexander) Skarsgård and (Stephen) Moyer.” With just this being enough to keep fans on the edge of their seats, he also adds, “I f**k someone else up, and I have a girlfriend, so that’s fun.” What this could mean for Eric and Bill, who knows…

When comparing the experience to his last television appearance, he notes, “We don’t have as many werepanthers.” Appreciating the new atmosphere, he also ironically added, “It’s been very freeing, except for the fact that I get off the show where I had to wear a coat and tie every day and they put me in a suit and tie every day.”

Check out a terrifying teaser trailer featuring Meloni as the frightening Roman!

Can’t wait to see what Meloni will bring to True Blood!

Video: True Blood’s Marshall Allman in Blue Like Jazz

Tommy Mickens Escapes the Bible Belt:

Marshall Allman Blue Like JazzThe trailer for Marshall Allman‘s new movie, Blue Like Jazz, has been released. Blue Like Jazz is about a 19 year old named Donald Miller who is ashamed of his Baptist upbringing and goes to a college in Oregon to escape. He lets loose and in the process, hurts some of his new friends and works to make it right. The movie looks like it is a classic coming of age story with a slightly religious twist. Allman is not the only young star in this film. It also stars Claire Holt (The Vampire Diaries), Tania Raymonde (Lost), and Natalia Dyer (Hannah Montana: The Movie).

Blue Like Jazz is directed by Steve Taylor, director of The Second Chance, which also has a religious theme. Steve Taylor, along with Ben Pearson, wrote the film. It is slated to be released April 13, 2012.

I think Allman is really going to be able to show off his acting chops in this film. Truebies, watch the trailer below and let us know what you think in the comments!

Video: True Blood Season 4 Teaser Released!

Season 4 – Season of the Witch

As we announced previously, HBO had a surprise for True Blood fans approximately 15 minutes before the premiere of the final season of Big Love aired on January 16 at 9 pm. The surprise was the first True Blood Season 4 video teaser! Coming in at 27 seconds, it promises that the new season of True Blood will be the season of the witch.

Considering the paths True Blood has taken in previous seasons, which have included several murders, a menacing maenad, and a missing vampire (or two), the promise of witches is a bit… foreboding. Of course, we also know that a few witches have already been cast, like Marnie and Daisy.

Unfortunately, the video doesn’t provide any new hints beyond what we already know, but it’s pretty cool looking. Check out the video below, and let us know what you think in the comments.

Brand New Game of Thrones Trailer Released

HBO Releases a Sneak Peek:

Fans eagerly awaiting HBO‘s new series Game of Thrones were treated to a brand-new trailer this weekend, and it was full of exciting reveals. HBO Game of Thrones Iron Throne There were extensive views of the Iron Throne, the much contested, yet remarkably uncomfortable, throne of the ruler of Westeros. The trailer is a round of musical chairs, except there is only one seat, and all the players want it. Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey), Jaimie Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau), Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage), Robert Baratheon (Mark Addy), Jon Snow (Kit Harrington), Eddard Stark (Sean Bean), Catelyn Stark (Michelle Fairley), and Petyr Baelish (Aiden Gillen) all take their turns at the throne. Now, we don’t know which of them is actually vying for the seat (unless, of course, you have read George R.R. Martin‘s epic novels) but there is clearly some tension amongst all of them.

This must be the most terrifying throne ever – and yet it is a much desired place of honor. The throne has just as much of a role in the books as do the main characters, and it certainly looks like HBO is sticking with that theme. The overall feel of the trailer is very suspenseful, very dark, very moody. If you haven’t watched it yet, check it out below! And keep waiting – April 17 will be here soon.

First Glimpse of Stephen Moyer in Priest

Sneak Peek of Stephen Moyer in Priest:

True Blood‘s season 3 finale is coming very quickly, but it doesn’t mean that Truebies can’t see their favorite actors from True Blood in other venues. Many of the stars of True Blood have new movies coming out, and Stephen Moyer is one of them.

Stephen’s new movie Priest is set to be released on May 13, 2011 in both 2D and 3D. The movie tells the story of a warrior priest who lives in a futuristic dystopian city. His 18 year old niece is kidnapped by some murderous vampires, and he breaks his vows to the church in order to get vengeance against them.

Though Stephen isn’t the lead in this movie, if you look about 34 seconds into the trailer, you’ll see him.

Let us know what you think of the trailer and whether or not you plan to see Priest when it comes out in the comments.
