Lindsay Pulsipher in “The Story Of Bonnie and Clyde”

True Blood Werepanther to Play Bonnie:

Lindsay Pulsipher as Crystal Norris in HBO's True BloodIt has been announced by Cypress Moon Studios that True Blood actress, Lindsay Pulsipher (werepanther Crystal Norris in the HBO series), will replace Hillary Duff as Bonnie in their upcoming movie, The Story of Bonnie and Clyde.

The studio cites that it was schedule differences and not Hillary’s pregnancy as the reason behind replacing her. The actor signed to play Clyde (Kevin Zegers) has also stepped down from his role. While the studio will begin production later this year, Duff stated that she would not be available until June next year and Zegers was not available until January.

This opened the door for our favorite crazy werepanther to step into the role of one of the most famous fugitives in history. The movie will be shot on location in Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and possibly Missouri.

Anyone who lives in these areas will need to keep an eye out for Lindsay. Let us know if you spot her!

Spoiler: True Blood’s Lindsay Pulsipher Dishes on Season 4

Crystal Norris to Reveal it All?

Lindsay Pulsipher as Crystal Norris in True BloodWe’re still weeks away from Season 4 of True Blood, but luckily there’s no shortage of spoilers for die hard fans! Recently, Eonline‘s Marc Malkin caught up with Lindsay Pulsipher at the Humane Society’s Genesis Awards in Los Angeles. And while she wouldn’t reveal much, when asked if we’d be seeing her “au natural” this season, and if so would it be a scene with Ryan Kwanten (Jason Stackhouse) Lindsay replied with a laugh:

“Let’s just say that is water under the bridge. That’s all that I could give you.”

Lindsay went on to talk about the two amazing panthers used on the show.

“They’re great, but you can’t really touch them. The trainers have really strict rules about what you can and can’t do. They’re just so majestic and so silently powerful.”

Eonline also caught up with True Blood’s Carrie Preston (Arlene Fowler) at the Awards. And much like Lindsay, she was tightlipped.

“I can’t say anything other than it’s bigger and crazier than ever. You know, we went pretty far even in the pilot, but somehow they go farther and farther and keep it going.”

Sounds like a crazy Season 4 is in store for fans and we cannot wait!

Lindsay Pulsipher Hints at Nakedness in Season Four

The True Blood Star Just May Bear All:

Lindsay Pulsipher

Recently E! Online caught up with Lindsay Pulsipher, the star who plays Crystal Norris in HBO’s True Blood, during her appearance at the  Humane Society’s Genesis Awards.

While she hinted at the fact that she may be getting up close and personal with hunky Ryan Kwanten (Jason Stackhouse), she was unable to confirm that she was definitely getting naked with the star.

“Let’s just say that is water under the bridge. That’s all that I could give you.”

However, she was happier to talk about her shape-shifting ability. In particular, her screen doubles: two real live panthers. While there are strict rules that prohibit too much contact with the beasts, she appeared in awe of them.

“They’re just so majestic and so silently powerful”

Carrie Preston (Arlene) was also present at the awards night. She was happy to add her own teasers for season 4:

“I can’t say anything other than it’s bigger and crazier than ever. You know, we went pretty far even in the pilot, but somehow they go farther and farther and keep it going.”

TheFashionPatrol.com posted pictures of Lindsay Pulsipher (True Blood’s Crystal Norris) while she attended the 25th Anniversary Genesis Awards in Los Angeles at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza Hotel. Lindsay wore a Dalia MacPhee dress from the Spring/Summer ’11 collection. The shoes she wore are charcoal Dana Davis “Alana” heels and she also sported a Badgley Mischka purse. Also in attendance at the awards was fellow True Blood star Carrie Preston (Arlene Fowler) wearing a sexy one-shouldered black dress made by In Add Minus. I think both women look good and made a good choice with what they wore. Let us know what you think of their outfit in the comment section below.

Lindsay Pulsipher’s “Bloody Disgusting” Interview

A Bloody Good Actress

True Blood's Lindsay Pulsipher in The Oregonian

Lindsay Pulsipher, the actress known around these parts for playing werepanther Crystal Norris on HBO‘s True Blood, is starring in an upcoming horror film titled The Oregonian.  It is the feature debut of her boyfriend, Calvin Reeder, whose previous projects include short films Piledriver, Little Farm, and The Rambler, all of which Lindsay also starred in.  The Oregonian premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival, and was considered “one of the most exciting horror entries” by the website Bloody Disgusting, who had a chance to interview Lindsay by phone.  When asked to describe her character, she explains:

“She’s leaving this terrible home life. She’s kind of escaping her past. And she gets into a car accident and…the way I think of it is she doesn’t know if she’s alive, dead, or floating somewhere in purgatory, heaven or hell, or wherever. So it’s kind of her journey. She discovers where she’s going, and who she is, and what she’s about to become.”

She describes her boyfriend (the director) as “esoteric” and “surreal”, and thinks that even after watching the movie, viewers may still not understand it.  When trying to describe the feeling of Reeder’s films, she says:

“You’re kind of in this alternate universe and you’re just trying to kind of grasp it. And I don’t think you ever really can. You just kind of have to enjoy the ride, you know?”

A Nightmare to Film

Shooting took place in Seattle, which is where the director is based.  Lindsay found it physically draining to work in the mountains, in the freezing rain, especially since she had the flu while filming the first half of the movie.  Being drenched in freezing cold blood didn’t help matters.  On top of the physical demands, Pulsipher also found the film emotionally draining.  To get the part just right she “had to go to some dark places”.  That being said, she actually credits the nightmarish conditions with helping her character’s development saying:

“Yeah, while we were shooting it was kind of rough, but now in hindsight it’s kind of a beautiful thing. I love the way that it kind of impacted everything. It’s kind of nice.”

The Horror of It All

True Blood's Lindsay Pulsipher in The Oregonian

According to Lindsay, The Oregonian “gets pretty gory but it gets really weird, in addition to the gore.”  She agrees with her interviewer that Reeder’s films, in general, “defy easy categorization” to the point that Reeder himself doesn’t think they’re horror films.  When Lindsay is asked whether she believes they are, she responds:

“Well you know, I think that there’s definitely scary elements in each film. But I always look at his films as more art films than I do horror. But there’s definitely that element of terror that he carries in all of his films. But I don’t think that I would say they’re horror, because that sounds too simple. It’s more layered than that to me.”

She admits, however, to being a huge fan of the genre.  Declaring the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre as one of her all time faves, she says:

“I think that’s one of the most beautiful films ever made. I definitely appreciate [the genre] for sure. That doesn’t mean that when I’m on set of Calvin’s films that I don’t wonder ‘what the hell am I doing?’”

Lindsay does enjoy this type of work, though.  Which is a good thing, considering she’s becoming a series regular on True Blood.  She’s currently filming Season 4, but claims not to know much about what we have in store.  Oh, the suspense!  So what do we think of our Crystal?  Are we looking forward to the storyline between her, Jason, and Hotshot?

True Blood’s Lindsay Pulsipher Heads to the Woods Again in The Oregonian

Calvin Reeder’s Short Film to Debut at Sundance:

True Blood's Lindsay Pulsipher, who plays Crystal Norris, plays a lost woman in the new short film The OregonianSome things are better left unsaid and kept to the imagination. However, if you’re filmmaker Calvin Reeder, leaving things to the imagination means something completely insane and often disgusting is going to happen. Reeder’s new film, ‘The Oregonian‘, stars True Blood were-panther Lindsay Pulsipher (Crystal Norris) as a woman lost in the deep dark woods trying to escape her past, her mind, and well, her life. Pulsipher is no stranger to Reeder’s disturbing creativity. She has appeared in several of his short films and has admitted that things can get very bizarre when you sign on to work with the underground horror shock filmmaker.

The film’s synopsis explains:

There is a place. A place where the skies are wide and the forests are thick–and strange. You can lose yourself forever in these woods. You’ll meet truckers with problems and old women with strange powers. You may even make a furry friend. Just be sure to stay quiet. Spend some time with a woman from Oregon who is lost on the road and running away from her past. Now she has a chance to experience everything the grotesque Northwest has to offer, whether she likes it or not.

The Oregonian will debut at the Sundance Film Festival January 20-30, 2011 in Park City, Salt Lake City, Ogden and Sundance, Utah. The complete list of films is available at here. Check out the trailer for ‘The Oregonian’ below, as well as a handful of stills that were released late last week. Any Truebies planning to attend Sundance? True Blood Season 4 Spoiler: Portia Bellefleur has been Cast

Courtney Ford Will Be Portia Bellefleur

The cast of True Blood is getting bigger and bigger! Another new character has been cast for Season 4. Portia Bellefleur will be played by Courtney Ford, an alumni of Showtime’s Dexter. Portia is a strong woman who runs her own law practice and is the sister of Bon Temps detective Andy Bellefleur (Chris Bauer). However, Portia will not be a series regular. Instead, the role is described as being recurring.

If you recognize Courtney, there’s a good reason why. She was Christine Hill on Dexter, and recently was in an episode of The Vampire Diaries. Courtney also has been on NCIS like fellow True Blood stars Todd Lowe and Lindsay Pulsipher.

What do you think of Courtney being cast? Does she fit your vision of Portia? Let us know what you think in the comments.

Lindsay Pulsipher talks about True Blood and Patrick Swayze

Lindsay Pulsipher’s True Blood Experience

Lindsay Pulsipher is one of the newest additions to True Blood. She plays the newest object of Jason Stackhouse‘s affection, Crystal Norris. Crystal is a were-panther who lives on a family “commune” of sorts. (Her family also deals drugs and V, which causes problems for everyone.)

Lindsay is very different from her character Crystal. She’s an enthusiastic blond who is a born and raised Mormon from Utah. Pulsipher stated that the True Blood set is one of the best she has been a part of and very easy going. Since the True Blood writers are very secretive about what is going to happen, they never came right out in the beginning and told her that she would be a werepanther. She had read previously in the book about Crystal Norris and figured the writers would be going in that directions She did get some clues, though. An example of this was described by Linsay:

“Early on in the shooting process, there were a couple of scenes where Jason and Crystal are getting to know each other in the woods. There’s a moment where Crystal smells something in the air and kind of springs up, and she’s very felinelike.”

Since her character is mainly of the “catlike” persuasion, she hasn’t had to deal as much with the fake blood, but she does tell fans that there are two different types of fake blood on set. There is a sugary fake blood that is put in the actor’s mouths and then there is the blood that production uses to pour everywhere.

Patrick Swayze

Lindsay also worked with Patrick Swayze during his last project, a tv show called Beast. Lindsay talked about Patrick and her memories with him, saying:

“Patrick was just such a personable, warm guy. He had this amazing sense of humor and a way of drawing you in that made you feel like the most important person in the room. He had a huge heart. I feel so blessed I was able to work with him on his last project. I feel it was some of his best work because of what he was going through, and he really gave himself to that role. My favorite moment with him was in the makeup trailer. It was a long day and he had been so tired from the chemo and had worked himself to the bone. We were taking off our makeup, and there was this very familial moment. I could see in his eyes he was just happy to have made it through the season. We did it. I will never forget. It was one of the last times I saw him, too, so it was really special.”

Lindsay has been a wonderful addition to True Blood. We are very excited to see where Crystal and Jason’s relationship lead us through the next season!

Joe Manganiello and Lindsay Pulsipher Cause Mayhem in South Florida!

Joe Manganiello (Alcide Herveaux) andLindsay Pulsipher (Crystal Norris) made an appearance at the Seminole Casino Coconut Creek on October 16th.  Lines  for the meet and greet were so long people were literally sent home even though both stars stayed later than they were scheduled to!

Lindsay was asked by Accidentalsexiness.com if she could give us some hints about the werepanther story line and all she had to offer us was this:

“I wish I could tell you but I can’t!  Alan Ball is so good about keeping us in the dark.  We don’t know until we read the script.”

Lindsay does reveal that it will be action packed and that she hears mention of witches, which goes along with some of the spoilers that we have heard so far.

Joe revealed that Season 4 is going to be a lot tighter storyline wise and jokes that they killed a lot of people in Season 3so there is room for more storylines.

Click here to view the videos with Lindsay and Joe and to check out more photos from this event.

It was a great night for the stars and fans alike and some pretty awesome pictures were taken.  Hopefully we’ll be seeing a lot more of these two in Season 4.

Video: Lindsay Pulsipher Talks True Blood and Fan Encounters

Lindsay Pulsipher True Blood Crystal NorrisCrystal Norris has been a mysterious character on True Blood this season.  It was obvious that she was hiding a secret and on last week’s episode it was revealed – she is a werepanther.  Poor Jason was almost speechless after seeing her transform from a panther.  Lindsay Pulsipher, who plays Crystal Norris, sat down with G4TV to talk about her character, working with the panthers and her first fan encounter.

In the video Lindsay discusses how relieved she is that the truth about her character is finally out.  Fans were stopping her and asking her if she was a werepanther but of course she could not say.  Anyone who has read the books knows that Crystal’s character was a werepanther in Charlaine Harris’ world but Alan Ball hasn’t always followed the books.  After all, in the books Crystal is definitely not a victim.  Lindsay says she wasn’t even sure herself if Crystal was going to be a werepanther until she saw the script.  For filming the scene where Jason finds out the truth about Crystal, Lindsay says the panthers (one of which was named Crystal) were actually in the room with them.  The trainer was simply holding onto the animal by a leash. Prior to filming the scene Lindsay and Ryan had the opportunity to spend time with the animals and become more comfortable with them.  Lindsay goes on to describe her first “fan recognition” which took place in a Target store while she was shopping for deodorant.  She was “sniffing” her deodorant and noticed a guy staring at her. As she went to walk away he approached her and talked about being a huge fan of the show.

Enjoy the video!
